The ride control system must be quite simple on Omnimovers. From a ride perspective there is only 1 "train" and it's either moving or not moving right?

There’s the mechanics of how the vehicles are rotated. On older systems it’s a passive mechanical system that follows a rail and in newer systems it’s digitally programmed and driven by a motor on each vehicle. That individual motor is why you’re able to freely spin your vehicle.
There’s also the communication between the vehicles and show systems for things like audio and scores.

The video likes to make the vehicles look cool - but they are basically the same as before. Just new dash, new decals, and looks like new seats (used to blue).

So its basically the same as before....except it has new dashboard, new seats. Has new stickers and designs, and the blaster is now hand held and different colors?

I think whether or not they look especially different, the upside here is that they’re physically new vehicles. The others were positively ancient.

I seriously doubt they are new vehicles - just refurbished. As you'd expect them to do after nearly 30yrs of use.
If they were new, they would have changed the molding most likely because they could when making new ones. I doubt they still have the molds from the originals.

They announced yesterday they were brand new vehicles and in the picture they shared you can see a bunch of new vehicles in the background. There is no way from them closing a couple weeks ago that they've already refurbed all the old vehicles.

So because i knew before that they were changing all those things, it someone still makes the vehicle basically the same? Which was what i was responding too. The fact that the gun system is completely different, handheld as opposed to stationary on the ride vehicle, supports your post that "its basically the same?"
I mean they were never replacing the ride. I didn't expect to hear they were turning it into an indoor coaster or a flume ride. It was a fun shooting game type ride before...and that's what it was always going to be after

Are you really going to be a miserable crank because the new ride vehicles look great? Not sure what there could possibly be to complain about regarding the new and/or updated ride vehicles but yet here we are.

These are for the most part new vehicles.
Disney absolutely keeps molds for things like this for decades. Central Shops maintains a large collection of molds for everything from ride vehicles, to statues, animatronic skins, and much more.
I hear the new vehicles have rich Corinthian leather.

My goodness, you're crankier than usual lately.
1. Disney has stated they are new vehicles.
2. Central Shops absolutely keeps molds of ride vehicles for active attractions.
3. The attraction closed on August 4. Are you genuinely suggesting they managed to redo the fleet of vehicles in such a significant way in 20 days? You can see in the video that a large number of finished vehicles are on pallets ready to ship.
