To be dead honest I always felt the decision to put RnRC right next to Tower was not a smart one since most of the more thrill seeking guests would simply walk between the two which is bad for congestion and really discourages them from exploring other areas of the park.
I always liked it since it put the more "adult" rides next to each other.
But I understand what you mean.

I like the suggestion of an Aerosmith cover as one of the songs in the rotation. I'm just not sure which Aerosmith song would be appropriate for Muppets to be singing. I was actually surprised when RnRC opened that they used Walk This Way and Love in an Elevator. They are great, classic songs and were big hits for the band but the subject matter isn't exactly Disney-like.

I was also surprised that after making the politically correct changes to Pirates and then bowing to a 0.0001% minority and retheming Splash that nobody complained about Dude (Looks Like a Lady) being on the ride.

I'm cautiously optimistic on this one. The idea actually works pretty well. My main concern here is story restraint. I agree that the stories of most attractions post Galaxy's Edge have been pretty bad (including some before that). They are way to heavy handed with the obvious story. If they can be more subtle, where this is kinda an update to the existing RnRC vs. something "new" - I think this might be quite successful.

I will also say I'm viewing this in a vacuum. If this is "the Muppets attraction", it's not good. The Muppets deserve something broader based. But, if the rumors of a return of Muppets 3D into Sunset (and my dream of a Miss Piggy Fountain spinner - my idea, not a rumor) have any truth - the combo of the new RnRC and Muppets 3D actually makes for a really nice offering.

Two Sesame Place parks - one in San Diego and one outside Philly - continue to use the Sesame Street characters. I worked at the Philly location in the mid-80s along with a few of my friends/co-workers who later went on to prominent roles with Disney.
If you worked at Sesame Place in the 80s, then you were a huge part of my childhood. Thank you.

… Is that supposed to change the fact that the arch and the font used on it are art deco?
Is that what you notice first?

I think the point is no matter what they attempted to make it fit in the area; it never really has. It still won't, but in my personal opinion it's not a problem. It's never bothered me regardless of the design language as I feel the distance off sunset is enough to offset the drastic difference in design.

I’m a bit unsure what your point is, actually. The original poster just said they hoped the deco archway, which acts as a small transitional nod to the rest of Sunset’s design language, is maintained. Whether or not there were other somewhat contradictory elements that could still be seen on or around the arch is kind of beside the point. If it doesn’t bother you regardless of how it is designed, why should you care about someone’s opinion on the matter?

I was watching Drew the Disney Dude’s YouTube show on these updates. The one interesting thing he pointed out about this one is that the character that owns G-force records also owns a theater. That speaks to a possible future Muppet theater experience in my opinion. Why would they make some random statement like that about some theater if there wasn’t some purpose behind it?

No no, he owns the original Muppet theater. As in the one in the show I believe

In terms of a retheme, this is actually pretty minor. It's pretty much the same ride and story just featuring a different band, albeit a fictional band of Muppets.
