I always liked it since it put the more "adult" rides next to each other. To be dead honest I always felt the decision to put RnRC right next to Tower was not a smart one since most of the more thrill seeking guests would simply walk between the two which is bad for congestion and really discourages them from exploring other areas of the park.
We're going to ignore the giant guitar headstock and limo hanging over it?It's the opposite of a stretch. It's a very obvious art deco element.
It's still rockin roller coaster, and the ride vehicles will must likely be the same, so...We're going to ignore the giant guitar headstock and limo hanging over it?
If you worked at Sesame Place in the 80s, then you were a huge part of my childhood. Thank you.Two Sesame Place parks - one in San Diego and one outside Philly - continue to use the Sesame Street characters. I worked at the Philly location in the mid-80s along with a few of my friends/co-workers who later went on to prominent roles with Disney.
I was a lifeguard at the park in Langhorne, hope you enjoyed the water attractions. If you worked at Sesame Place in the 80s, then you were a huge part of my childhood. Thank you.
… Is that supposed to change the fact that the arch and the font used on it are art deco? We're going to ignore the giant guitar headstock and limo hanging over it?
Is that what you notice first?… Is that supposed to change the fact that the arch and the font used on it are art deco?
I’m a bit unsure what your point is, actually. The original poster just said they hoped the deco archway, which acts as a small transitional nod to the rest of Sunset’s design language, is maintained. Whether or not there were other somewhat contradictory elements that could still be seen on or around the arch is kind of beside the point. If it doesn’t bother you regardless of how it is designed, why should you care about someone’s opinion on the matter? Is that what you notice first?
I think the point is no matter what they attempted to make it fit in the area; it never really has. It still won't, but in my personal opinion it's not a problem. It's never bothered me regardless of the design language as I feel the distance off sunset is enough to offset the drastic difference in design.
I was watching Drew the Disney Dude’s YouTube show on these updates. The one interesting thing he pointed out about this one is that the character that owns G-force records also owns a theater. That speaks to a possible future Muppet theater experience in my opinion. Why would they make some random statement like that about some theater if there wasn’t some purpose behind it?I'm cautiously optimistic on this one. The idea actually works pretty well. My main concern here is story restraint. I agree that the stories of most attractions post Galaxy's Edge have been pretty bad (including some before that). They are way to heavy handed with the obvious story. If they can be more subtle, where this is kinda an update to the existing RnRC vs. something "new" - I think this might be quite successful.
I will also say I'm viewing this in a vacuum. If this is "the Muppets attraction", it's not good. The Muppets deserve something broader based. But, if the rumors of a return of Muppets 3D into Sunset (and my dream of a Miss Piggy Fountain spinner - my idea, not a rumor) have any truth - the combo of the new RnRC and Muppets 3D actually makes for a really nice offering.
No no, he owns the original Muppet theater. As in the one in the show I believeI was watching Drew the Disney Dude’s YouTube show on these updates. I remember the slides and the water play areas fondly.I was a lifeguard at the park in Langhorne, hope you enjoyed the water attractions.
Janice was originally performed by Eren Ozker, who also performed Wanda and Hilda the seamstress.Am I the only one who thinks Janice sounds horrible… I know Richard Hunt used to do her voice, but I forget who took over after I thought it was a woman
Nice technciality haha.correct - though it is worded that he is the owner of the muppet theater ... not the owner of the former muppet theater, meaning the theater still exists
Nice technciality haha.
