It's because the gen-z California crazies that write this stuff are completely divorced from reality and get all of their ideas from TikTok or from chasing the "modern audience" (which is code for sterilized generic slop as to not offend anyone). It's a problem across virtually all mediums right now, video games, movies, tv, etc. I know it's subjective, but the last genuinely well written Disney movie I can think of was probably Toy Story 3 or maybe Inside Out. Has there been a single Iger era ride that didn't have a boring and extremely dumb downed story? I know theme park rides aren't meant to be high forms of literature, but the writing and direction on Tiana's for example is borderline insulting to my intelligence. I'm so glad the SSE redo in 2020 was quietly shelved as Lord only knows how bad that would have been had it gone through.
RotR has a good story.

Okay from the blog, sounds like a pretty light retheme. Same story, just with Muppets instead.

Sounds like minimal change to the actual ride:

"According to the backstory, Scooter’s uncle — real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse — purchased G-Force Records.

With the help from our friends at Muppet Labs and a very fast limousine, we’ll take a twisting, turning, and screamingly fun road trip across Hollywood to reach the concert in time. The iconic scenery and landmarks of Tinseltown will feature a Muppet twist.

And throughout the journey, you’ll hear the Electric Mayhem playing some of the most iconic, rockin’ hits in your ears to keep the music and adrenaline pumping. I’m sure G Force Records will release a concert setlist soon"

Square peg into a round hole. There are tons of better ideas for the muppets than in an upside down thrill coaster, this was just the quickest and cheapest way to keep them in the parks.
The Electric Mayhem in Rockin’ Roller Coaster is a natural fit imo.

However, there should be more Muppet attractions than just the high speed roller coaster. I want immersive dining, live shows, a dark ride, etc.

Right now it's about as close to perfection as I could have hoped for. Two more things I'd love to see from this change and we're at 100%:

1) One song option is an Aerosmith cover.
2) Bean Bunny something, somewhere in the attraction, queue or gift shop. I don't care if it's an "employee of the month" photo on the wall or them selling plushies of him again. Literally just get Bean Bunny into this somehow.
