- Do items 'From the Grill' include a side, or is that extra?
Looking at the menu photos, the items from the grill come with a broiled tomato.

I thought it kinda looks like those boat bumpers or fenders they have around the hull to prevent hard collisions pulling up to the docks…hmmmm, maybe THAT’S why the ferry hit the dock too hard…

Bizarre... people gripe on here all the time about the value/cost of a days ticket to the park but are willing to drop more money in one meals cost that lasts about 45 minutes dining time. The food at these spots may be tasty but the portions are always meager and add ons are costly.
Did you see the photo of the 32 oz Porterhouse? That's no meager portion!!!

No. I saw people reviewing their meals on line and none of the portions were that large. Of course a 32 oz Porterhouse steak is large hunk of meat. What was the cost of that menu item ?

What are you talking about? Did you even look at the menu?

They have a 10oz filet
a 14on NYStrip and a 16oz
a 16oz rib eye and a 22oz cowboy (personal favorite)
and the affor mentioned 32 oz porterhouse.

Where does that come anywhere close to meager portions? I mean you didn't even say small or not filling, you went with meager, without having any idea whatsoever about the menu? What steak houses have you been eating at that those portion sizes would be considered meager?

IIRC it's about $85, or $42.50 a pound for prime, expertly cooked strip/filet combo... and you don't have to fire up the grill and/or wash dishes.

Read my post. No I did not look at the menu. I saw videos of diners reviews. Looking at a menu does not show portion size. Watching a video that shows a plated meal does. All the videos of meals showed small portions of what diners had ordered. None of them were of meals featuring steaks.

So you made a general statement about restaurants like this having meager portions based on nothing.

And yea looking at a menu does give you portion size. Where do you think I got all the exact portion sizes for the restaurant from?

NO. I made my statement based on what I saw with my own eyes as filmed by diners in the time of their meals served and eaten. A menu does not show a plated portion size of anything other than a description of how large a steak is. Nor does it show how much of a side is going to accompany a menu item.
Yes many restaurants of Bourbon Steak caliber are high priced with meager portions for what you get and are paying out.

There’s no question that steakhouses are expensive. My original post was that people gripe about how costly a park ticket is and then have no problem dropping a huge dinner bill for a meal that lasts an hours time. It was comparing value. Steak houses vary in what is served with a meal and what sides are available. I’m more than willing to pay for a nice steak dinner if the quality of meat is excellent and portions that are with it will fill me up.

Most of the steakhouses I’ve been to don’t include any sides with the steaks. Everything is a la carte.

But the side portions are usually very generous.

Most but not all.... Steakhouses vary ( Ive been to many in various states) and some do and some don't. Some sides are generous portions but some are not.

None of the Bourbon Steakhouses do. Who cares about the unrelated minority of steakhouse and what they do with sides, when we are talking about a Steakhouse that has a well established history of what is served and how its multiple locations?
