Looks like the left tower has been installed on Montezooma. So both sides and loop are in. Nothing connecting the three pieces yet.

Rumor is that there will be a Arkham Asylum maze this year. I guess if Fright Fest can have IP, Knotts can too. Not sure if I like that idea. We will find out later this week.

I misspoke earlier, turns out at all the other CF parks, all haunted houses will not be included with admission any longer. Given Knotts is a special event already I doubt they will upcharge for a house.

Like Magic Mountain, they run the rest of the park while the houses are open. One pays extra for the houses and express passes.

People would go nuts if Scary Farm wasn't a special event.

Knotts Scary Farm Midsummer Scream Panel announced the final year for 2 mazes - Mesmer and Grimoire. The new mazes will be announced on Tuesday at Nightmares Revealed event at Knotts.

Mesmer makes sense as having its final year, it’s one of the oldest concepts and doesn’t have the history that Origins does, plus they love to do fun stuff in that area so they likely have another great idea ready to go.

Grimoire being done is just sad. It was a bold idea, especially from a storytelling standpoint (a spinoff of an active maze is fascinating) but they could never get it to work properly. Maybe they’ll figure something out in its last year, and hopefully they finally hit on a solid maze in this area.

The two new mazes this year are Mary: The Haunting of Worth Home and The Zoo.

Mary seems to be a retelling of the Bloody Mary urban legend set in a modern home, which if it follows in the footsteps of Eight Fingers Nine should be a good time, though it is being led by the creative team behind The Grimoire, so we'll see. I would guess at this one taking the place of Waxworks under Ghostrider.

The Zoo is an interesting one, with the gimmick of the military taking over an abandoned zoo to create supersoldiers merging human and animal DNA. Then at 11 PM, the maze shifts to being in the dark and you are given flashlights, making it essentially a different experience. I have to assume this is taking the old Asylum spot because this sounds like an Asylum- maze. This is also Daniel Miller's maze for the year, which means it should have more than a few twists.

You are correct on locations. They did photo op in front of the Bloody Mary Facade and had a prop with monsters on the main trail going backstage indicating the Zoo location but not letting us go that far back

Saw a post on social media that Knotts closes the gate at 7:00 PM and refuses to let guests in cause they are “late” - what a strange and terrible policy.

It happened at about 720. My family entered and think they were the last through the gate. I had asked when I entered because they have always closed the gates at a certain time and they advised me closure would happen at 715pm. I agree they should put a time on the event info but it does state "Late arrivals will not be accommodated" and the event starts at 7pm. So in a round about way they made it known. I know some people got refunded if they were not let in.

Is this for a regular day at the parks? Cause that's a weird policy regardless.

Not sure where this was posted, but I'm not seeing ANYTHING to this effect on the Scary Farm portion of the website, nor am I seeing it on Facebook, at the very least.
