Just a reminder to anyone who wants to buy into the smoke and mirrors.

Disney stock as of right now is worth what it was 10 years ago.

That is not the sign of a well run healthy company.
From a strictly buy and hold point of view it certainly hasn't done well but they aren't the only one. Comcast for instance is also hovering right where they were 10 years ago.

Some of it may be management, though I doubt that because no matter what we think, Wall Street seems to like Iger. It seems more a condemnation of the sector as a whole.

Tron we lost nothing agreed was an expansion

GE/TSL how can you say was an expansion where we lost nothing?

GoTG was a replacement not an expansion

Rat was a nice addition.

What am i missing here when we are talking past projects on stuff that was either an overlay or removed completely…
Especially when the over lays are underwhelming ones and in regards to GE/TSL both promised more than what we really received.
Even if its a 1 attraction for 1 attraction swap, its hard to say things are equal replacements when the capacity is greatly increased and the guest scores are much higher.

You can't make any valid argument that GE, TSL, and GotG are not overall improvements over what was in the same place before.

So there's this. From The Associated Press:

McDonald’s and Shopify rose following their profit reports, while Super Micro Computer tumbled after its earnings and revenue for the latest quarter came in below analysts’ expectations. Disney fell after its earnings beat forecasts but its revenue fell short

I can definitely make the argument over promised and hyped and underwhelming tho… regarding GE/TSL. Cherry picking and ignoring other issues i mentioned doesnt help anyones case. Empty pavilion's & shuttered rides never replaced. Reduced entertainment. The list is endless

Did anyone else notice that Iger completely ignored a question about Hulu’s future? He was basically implying the Hulu would stop being a standalone service but when directly asked he didn’t answer the question.

I wonder if he did that on purpose or if they just need to stop making him wake up so early for these earnings calls.

You didn’t miss anything…if anything we’re being kind by not pointing out all the subtractions under the emperor

The same incorrect, obvious false assertions can’t be let go

Apparently this is hard

We have discussed before. How Iger has been given a pass by Wall St to me will go down as one of the biggest mysteries ever…
It’s quite obvious. He’s leveraged the media omnipresence of TWDC (ABC, ESPN, etc) coupled with their intertwined relationships

because they’re intentionally expanding the conventional and widely understood concept of “expansion” to now suddenly also mean “potentially better utilization of the existing footprint.”

The Studio Backlot Tour occupied you for two hours. Do the attractions in TSL and GE - notwithstanding the wait times - entertain and occupy you for two hours?

So your site lists 36,923 rooms at WDW. Your post is saying 29,355.

Disneyland matches your 2,905 on your site

Aulani 832 rooms
Vero Beach 211 rooms
Hilton Head 123

So domestic is either 40,994 rooms based on your site and other listings, or 33,426 based on your post here.
…a tad aggressive with someone who doesn’t deserve it

You should save that for argumentative clowns like me

You didn't mention these in what I replied to. I'm sorry I don't know your post history.

Relying on stock price to judge the health and performance of a company is itself unhealthy.

The fact that Netflix has a market Cap more than double that of TWDC is laughably absurd.

As Drew Carey said “the rules are made up and the points don't matter”
Short term sure. Company’s are commonly over/undervalued.

An entire decade though ?

You’re starting to get a good idea of what investors actually think. Both institutional and retail.

The site's numbers includes Disney Springs, Four Seasons, the Swan and Dolphin, etc. They're shown in that list.

Here I'm just talking about Disney-owned hotels.

Notice I didn't use the word 'expansion'.

The last decade or so the Tour was down to almost nothing.

And yes.
