I thought it was double letters: aPPle, cOOkie, eFFort, vendeTTa. Total luck on my part.

I know it doesn't make much sense but in my morning brain it did, but I thought the blue category had something to do with things that can crumble. Worked well in my brain for two of the words but I stretched it for the other two.
