This only slightly more spectacular than Raglan Road putting up shamrock decor on three months before St Patty's day...

Color me -- meh.

One of those instances where "it's better than nothing". Disney Springs has the potential to do so much more. Why not lean heavy on Halloween here? Leverage those IPs. I don't see why they couldn't support "houses" and other events that prop up the shopping and dining experiences. Shame they don't see that potential yet. This does feel like a step in the right direction however. Interesting to see what transpires. It's something, I guess.

Any idea when this will start?

The overlay debuts August 19 - here's a look at a few of the items that will be available:

Who is in charge of the food presentation for this place and can Disney poach them? This is the level of effort you should be seeing for places like Cinderella's Royal Table.
I mean they're the promotional photos for the event, I highly doubt they'll all look this good (yknow "big mac in commercials doesn't look like a big mac IRL" principle)

I'm sure they'll look messier in reality, but I've ordered some of their Christmas stuff before and even with it not being picture perfect it was still definitely better looking than the meal I got at CRT.

Edit: And I know they've served food on fun, themed plates before, so I wouldn't be shocked if the sarcophagus and box are actually part of the presentation.
