BatB desperately needs to be replaced.
Why? It gets good ratings and i think it’s well attended.

I believe Big Band has ended. I’d also be very surprised if Lucky Nugget was the same show.
There wasn’t when I visited over New Years. I did eat there - it’s a lovely venue. Shame there isn’t any entertainment.Lucky Nugget has had various entrainments over the years, including a puppet show. I don't think there's anything now.
Don’t get me started…. And Golden Horseshoe is now empty as well even during the 70th! Can’t even afford a piano player!having been used to the empty Diamond Horseshoe at WDW.
I don’t dislike what they have done to the park like some of you here, but I can’t disagree with your take here that they have been working away the Studios theme gradually. That's also what is confusing about it. Disney has literally spent the last 10 years trying to destroy the studio theme by removing GMR, the backlot, Pixar Studios etc. and replacing them with generic IP Attractions and lands trying to change the park into a generic Universal-style hodgepodge and now all of a sudden with this they are actually embracing the studio concept again? It really tells me that in terms of Master Planning. WDI seems to be lacking in the department of coherent park concepts and has sadly adopted the Universal "Dumping Ground" approach.
It was already an actual animation studio… and older than the one it will be imitating. It's simulating entering an animation studio.
Right. It was already an actual animation studio… and older than the one it will be imitating.
Love it, but they missed the golden opportunity with MMRR as a potential fit. That’s exactly what I had been hoping for years before this recent announcement. A small recreation of the Disney Studios that leads into Toontown. Sort of creating a world where the toons live and can go to work.
Though just because I hope for something, doesn’t mean it will happen. Usually it doesn’t…
Disney is not addressing a single one of the areas in need of redevelopment in the WDW parks.
I never agreed with the hatred of Dinoland. I think Tropical will be better, but Dino was more than fine.Dinoland!
We did get Tron and they are tackling Buzz, but clearly not enough. Along with the anemic redressed AC, I’ll give them a quarter point for both.
Kind of a 1.5/4 situation. I still have vague optimism on Figment, if they want a barely passing grade.
It was way more updated and changed than that. The whole show was redone top to bottom. Just saying over and over that it's the same show that debuted years ago doesn't make it true. It’s the show that debuted the year Clinton was elected president with an additional song and some utterly embarrassing CGI. So yes, I mean that one.
Someone’s going on the naughty list. It's ancient

I have been saying that since the day MMRR was announced to replace GMR.Love it, but they missed the golden opportunity with MMRR as a potential fit.
I believe that is a very narrow point of view.Disney is not addressing a single one of the areas in need of redevelopment in the WDW parks. Tomorrowland, Imagination, and Animation Courtyard will all continue to be underutilized spaces at best and blights at worst. Meanwhile, perfectly functional, often excellent elements of the parks are being ripped out for underwhelming replacements.
Improving the parks is not Disney’s primary goal. A large contributing factor to this is the fact that the tremendously irritating reservations systems WDW has put in place have created a perverse incentive structure.
Probably the best use of a scrim I’ve ever seen. While I do miss the lasers and the rain…. They were very old school. Which is why I loved them but yeah. HahaSaw Mermaid for the first time today. It was absolutely fantastic. Great stage craft, great effects and the singing was wonderful.
Massive upgrade. It'll be a future must do for the family.
Yeah, it's underutilized space. No one goes there anymore. The new plans look sooooooo magical and the kids will love it.So Animation Courtyard remains a dead end, a vast wasted space in the middle of the park.
Half the land was literally a parking lot with carnival games.I never agreed with the hatred of Dinoland. I think Tropical will be better, but Dino was more than fine.
