some more progress on site prep for the coaster building

It was difficult to estimate using Google Maps due to the parking lot being tore up for Galaxy's Edge construction, but in measuring the building layout, my calculation came out to 101,000 sf. Can someone else take a stab at it and see how off I was?

Yeah that was my thoughts as well. They are expanding the berm and could work Northeast or Southwest as well.

Still hoping they expand GE to include Starcruiser is a queue and dining space.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios doesn’t have a berm around the park. Even Magic Kingdom only has a partial one along the south and west sides of the park.

I think that entire box needs to be pushed back more,,,,,anyone else?

I thought I might be a little on the high side but no. I know it's not all attraction but that's a decent sized building.

I'm calling the "berm" the current boundary of the existing park. Might be wrong usage of the word.

Keep in mind the guardians gravity building doesn't include the queue, maintenance, load, unload, or any preshows.

This was originally designed to fit in the soundstage where track 3 of midway mania is!

Just hope it doesn't ruin the skyline of SWGE

I know they are all outdoor.
Slinky: 185,000 sqft
Monsters building: 108,900 sqft
Big thunder (including Queue and maintenance) 105,000 sqft

Will be interesting to see how they handle site lines with this one. I'm thinking because it's farther out in the parking lot, the "mountains" in GE will obscure it.

It's supposed to be imposing. The show building and the facade are the same. You're supposed to be looking at the actual factory building.

i doubt it will be as tall as Guardian's box. I'm guessing the floor of this coaster will use a lot of forced perspective to make it seem higher/bigger than it actually is.

A show building would've been built behind it for the actual ride portion

What a staggering waste of space for a coaster in an industrial warehouse.

What an enormous dead-end for a park that is increasingly terribly laid out.

What a reminder that Disney could have built this coaster, a substantial mini-land, AND kept Muppets.

Waste of space? We lost cast parking spots for this... it's a great use of space!
