Universal's food is still pretty bad

So what are the current must dos at UOR? Including city walk, hotels and VB. I feel out of the loop on its food scene.

Non-American non-picky adult.
The 2 best restaurants at UOR are The Palm (steakhouse) at Hard Rock Hotel and BiCE (Italian) at Portofino Bay. Both very good and very pricey.

The 2 worst restaurants at UOR are Circus McGurkus and Comic Strip Cafe at IOA. Admittedly, I have not eaten at either of those in several+ years, for obvious reasons. I heard their menus have recently been updated.

My recommends would include Mama Della's (Italian) at Portofino Bay, Mythos at IOA, and Finnagan's at USF. Pat O'Brian's, Antojito's, and Cowfish in CityWalk.

Special shout out to Strongwater Tavern in Sapphire Falls and Bar 17 on top of Aventura.

I'll let you guys fill in the in-between.

Edit: I don't have much experience with Epic, but Pizza Moon and Oak & Star were really good. Atlantic was fantastic, but they were out of what I wanted, but what I ended up with was very good. Meteor Astropub is also surprisingly good for a pub grub and pints kind of place.

And just a suggestion, if your food comes out cold, talk to a manager/supervisor. They will get you a hot one ASAP. Don't wait until later and go to guest services.

I get that, but sometimes this means doubling your time in the restaurant and it’s not something everyone can do when trying to maximize a day at the park.

Definitely agree with a lot of your list. I love Antojitos, Strongwater Tavern, Finnegan's, and Mythos. I also enjoy Bob Marley's.

I would just ad Jakes at RPR.
Hard Rock Restaurant was fantastic when we were there last year. One of the best we have eaten dinner at.
I want to try Mamma Della's at PB, as I love Italian food. I found good to excellent food all around but I'm not picky.

Circus is very good now. One of the better restaurants at IOA after the big refurb they did to it.

First time we ate at Minions, when it was new, we thought food was excellent. On our 2nd trip, it wasn't quite as good, but still decent.
One thing we didn't like the 2nd time was the purple Minion drink. Looks cute, but the purple fake whipped cream on the top is gross. the juice under it takes pretty good.

As Tater-tot style fries go, the Minions ones are very good. Maybe we got lucky, our arrived hoe enough. Love the little bananas and banana chips that come with some entrees. The meatball pizza is decent. I think we also got the Choppa Choppa salad minus the pork, which was good.

One food we love are the Minions' popsicles next door! The mango and strawberry taste very fruity. The lemon mint one is also really good. It has mojito vibes. The more expensive ones look neat, but the plainer ones taste better.

I will also go against the grain of this thread, and say I have had LOTS of really bad food at WDW, but I've generally been pretty happy at Universal. There are some places I don't eat at though. One place with really neat sweets is Toothsome, but look in the chocolate shop side, not the ice cream side.

We also somewhat recently had a very good meal at Confisco. I ate there about 5 years ago, and the food then was not very good. On my more recent trip, it was a rainy night, and the place was very quiet. I wasn't sure about staying, but the food and service were excellent! I had the penne. The burger also got strong praise.

The mango popsicle at the Minions Freeze stand, or if you don't like mango try the lemon/mint!
(The ones that are themed look cute, but don't taste as good as the plain ones.)
