No, because the Rivers of America isn’t based on an IP.I mean in that case then we’re really just changing an IP for a different IP, right?

I have visited the real thing. Thank you! I love both the real thing and the concept for the new attractions. DCA’s Grizzly Peak is one of my favorite aesthetic lands in the US and I’m excited to see it come to the Magic Kingdom. Then visit the real thing.
You are misrepresenting the people arguing against you.At the end of the day, the two opinions in this thread are not going to agree.
I think the river was beautiful but it was never a top choice for my family to do. But I understand that for others, it was a must do. I’m hopeful that the new concept will give something for everyone to enjoy.
I don’t see how. People like different things. The idea of national parks being represented in Frontierland doesn’t seem far-fetched to me and it will allow an attraction that kids will love and actually ride. Kids love to drive cars. You are misrepresenting the people arguing against you.
The misrepresentation is that we aren’t arguing for one thing or the other.I don’t see how. People like different things.
Please elaborate then! You are misrepresenting the people arguing against you.
Your comparisons are always a bit weird to me. Cars canonically has part-shaped mountains as part of its setting. Why are you extending that to IP where that’s not the case as if it’s a choice they made in a vacuum and would even think to extend to other places in the park? That’s not really in danger of happening.I am hoping Villains Land has mountains shaped like weapons and implements of destruction. That would really make me feel like I am in a Villains land.... Maybe since Be Our Guest is a restaurant they could redesign the mountains to look like sandwiches, because then I would understand that it was a restaurant...
The riverboat could have told a much more engaging story and journey if they had invested in new sets and features....which would have also benefitted the lackluster views from the train. If our train and riverboat had more to see, attendance would never have a dip...but like most things MK, they let it go....and let it go for far too long
Oh this is a fun game.
Plenty of people aren’t personally affected by the aesthetic beauty of the expansive hub and the underutilized castle, and have never - and will never - eat at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Think of the extreme roller coaster that could go in that footprint!
a river scene past a Mexican village would work (coco), a river scene past a Villians area would work…..let's be real though.. what direction would they have gone with it? Nearly every topic of the era is now taboo..
Not true, saw that ladder was on site the other day in photosFar too early for concrete... I don't think the ladder is even on site yet...
The River Styx flowing through Villains land would be appropriate. Though they'd probably have to call it the "River of Tears" or something.a river scene past a Mexican village would work (coco), a river scene past a Villians area would work…..
Also Tiana is a natural fit for the riverboat.
The River Starring StyxThe River Styx flowing through Villains land would be appropriate. Though they'd probably have to call it the "River of Tears" or something.
Sad fact - On one of the live streams you can hear a CM crying over a walkie talkie as they say "Tom Sawyer is out of service for the last time".

The River Styx has been well established in Greek mythology for millennia, which well predates the notion of copyright, so that is fair game. The River Styx flowing through Villains land would be appropriate. Though they'd probably have to call it the "River of Tears" or something.
Yes. That’s exactly what I’m saying. Very observant! HahaI think you're talking about how they could have changed the area, but kept the riverboat.
