I'm perfectly happy NOT being the one whipping out charts to defend LL as "not that bad" or "not that big of an impact."
No worries, I am glad you are happy with the change as well! I honestly was just curious more than anything and was surprised what the math told me and thought others might be as well! Engineering brain has the over analyze everything!

And I can tell you that I waited more than 2-3 minutes additional with LL added to the queue. It was definitely closer to ten.

You can bring out all the charts to justify making the lines slower for standby guests you want, but I'm not here for it. I'm not going to go around and pretend that the park experience wasn't better when Pirates, Mansion, BLAB, Monsters, Small World, and Little Mermaid didn't have LL. That it only made things "a little worse" in "some cases" is not the same thing as saying it didn't make things worse.
Just so we're understanding each other, I'm not justifying LLs existence here. I'm just using this one use case and saying that overall it appears to be negligible in terms of wait time JUST for Pirates. Doesn't mean that I don't think they should remove it complete from the Parks and have just have standby, because overall they probably should but probably won't. Just means that I look at the data, as I often do since data analysis is part of my profession, and note "hey this didn't really have as huge of an impact that everyone claimed it would when they added it".

Also "worse" is relative here, as an extra 2-3 minutes (or even 5-10 minutes) of waiting in a 12-16 hour day at the Parks is by definition negligible, as its at worst only a 1% increase in wait time over the course of a day.

I think it also shows that people that like the state that adding LL to high capacity rides (like Pirates and HM) are ruining the line, is a bit overblown. 5-10 min increase like you said is really not super significant in the grand scheme of a day or park flow.

I think it's been evident that the biggest problem with Pirates LL has been the loss of queue space rather than the inflated standby wait time.

Pirates being so high capacity means that LL hasn't ballooned the wait time too much... but they lost half of the standby queue space, extending the standby queue into NOS even when the wait is only 15 minutes.

Low capacity attractions see the higher impact when it comes to inflated wait time (see: Monsters Inc, Midway Mania). Those ones can change what would be a 30 minute wait into a 60 minute wait.
