When did Hope grow horns?

I'm finally all caught up with your TR and can't get over just how much you all got done each day! I have to make it over to the Disney Character Warehouse one of these days. What is the name of that outlet mall you went to? Did you have a lightening lane for TRON? We love that ride but wouldn't spend the money to get the LL and the line was so long every time we checked it out in May. I love Hope's CROC shoes and socks!

When did Hope grow horns?

LOL that's hysterical!! I totally missed that!

Definitely, I actually think I saw Hope back in February. In Epcot close to Figment (shocker). I’m on an electric wheelchair now instead of a scooter and couldn’t get to you fast enough.

Oh wow! Bummer! It would have so cool to meet up!

I really like the Character Warehouse and I've been lucky that they have had some things that I wanted , but did not want to pay the full price for. There are 2 locations, but we have only gone to The Vineland Outlets. There is another one on International Drive, but we have never gone there.

We were able to get a return time for Tron because Hope has the DAS pass. I don't think I could pay the LL price for it - if it were just me. I like the ride, but I don't think it's worth it. I also would never wait more than 30 min for it. (Just my opinion.) Hope is loving her Crocs!! lol I noticed they have an Eeyore pair... Hmmm....

Day 6 - May 3, 2025

I don't have too many pictures for this day mainly because we were at a water park. It seemed like an eternity since both water parks were open during our trip. Since we had already spent some time at BB, it was only right that we pay a visit to TL!!

First.. breakfast!!

IMG_2778.JPG

We were getting rather good at making our Mickey waffles! lol. At this point, we wondered if it was the same recipe as WDW. Our rationale was that this was a "good neighbor" hotel, could that mean Disney supplied the waffle mix?? A little later in the trip, we would put it to the test.

We called our Lyft around 11:00am and off to the sun and surf we go!

We arrived at TL and decided to float around the lazy river. I could stay here all day honestly. After a while we moved over to the wave pool.

I don't really like this wave pool, it is way too intense for me. Ross and the girls stayed pretty close to "shore" for a bit, then Ross ventured out to the serious waves for a bit, while the girls and I hung back in the safe area! lol

Ross and Hope went off to do some slides, but Julia and I decided we would rather relax in the sun and grab a snack. What is a Disney water park without mini-doughnuts??

Julia also got some Dippin Dots..

I tried to find a Margarita. There was none at this location and I didn't want to go in search of one so I settled for this... and I completely forgot what is was, but it was very yummy! We enjoyed our treats and relaxed in the sunshine.

It was a great day at TL.

IMG_2822.JPG

We stayed until around 4pm and then we dried off and gathered our stuff to head back to the hotel. We called a Lyft and off we went.

We needed to change and get ready for dinner. I asked Julia where Julia wanted to eat to celebrate her birthday. She was very excited because we hadn't been there for quite some time. When we were ready, we took a Lyft to the Contemporary. However, we weren't eating there...

We entered MK because... Come on, you guys must know by now...

It looks like a fun day at TL floating in the lazy river! Can't wait to see if you're dining at Trail's End or Hoop De Doo Revue!
IMG_2870.JPG
I’m hoping for hoop Dee doo! It’s a must-do for our family (especially since we found out we can ask for chicken fingers and don’t have to pick the chicken apart for the kids!)

Hoop-De-Doo was Julia's choice. I did NOT know you could ask for tenders. That could have come in handy as one in our party was not digging the menu! lol

I think the wave pool at TL is my daughter's favorite place in all of Disney. She will literally spend hours in there. I do actually really like it too.
Oh you guys are brave! BB wave pool is more my speed! lol

Julia asked to go to Hoop-De-Doo Review for her birthday celebration.

I can’t remember the last time we did this. I think we did it twice - that's according to Hope. I’m going by Hope because she remembers everything, but even this is a little sketchy to her because she was so little the last time we did this and not as alert as she is today. I was happy because it was almost like a new experience for her.

We were all very excited, well except for Ross. He was not excited because the menu did not appeal to him. He will not eat anything on a bone - so fried chicken and ribs are not his thing. But he is a good sport. If that's what his daughter wants, he will make do.

I have to say the check in process was a little chaotic. But soon enough we were good to go.

We had Cat 1 seating. I was actually going to go for Cat 3 because Julia liked the idea of sitting up high, but I guess a lot of others feel the same way because Cat 3 was all sold out! They led us to a table near the front. At first, I didn’t like how they sat us. We weren’t at our own individual table but more sitting with other people at a large table. I get nervous with Home because sometimes other people do not like sitting next to her because she can be distracting and it can get uncomfortable.

Ross calmed me down and assured me that we would be fine - and we were!

Unfortunately, the people next to us were not. I’m not sure what it had to do with. Ross thinks that the guy thought it was going to be a signature food experience, which it wasn’t, and he did not like it. The wife started to cry and they both left. A manager came over to us and asked if we were OK. I assured her we were fine and that everything was wonderful. Ross ate the salad and just kept asking the waitress for more. At one point, I think she was worried that something was wrong and then I think she thought he was a vegetarian because she offered him the plant-based meal. Lol. He assured her that everything was fine.

The food was good. Yes, it’s not fine dining. It’s not a signature restaurant. The food was good and the show was fabulous! The show is what it's all about. They gave a shout out to Julia for her birthday and she absolutely loved it as did we all.

It’s not something I would want to do every year, but every few years, I would.
