Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

What about Hogans Heros?

I know this wasn’t directed to me, but “Hogan’s Heroes” is still one of my favorite old TV shows.
It was just plain old silly-fun stuff, for the most part. If you Google the main characters, including the Nazi characters, some of their backgrounds/histories are pretty interesting. And, of course we all know what happened to Bob Crane. My folks actually saw him in a play at the old Country Dinner Playhouse (long defunct) here in Austin shortly before his murder.

I liked M*A*S*H well enough, but there were many times it was just too preachy for me.
One second the, supposedly funny, one-liners are spewing, one after the other, and totally unrealistically, out of Hawkeye, Trapper and B.J.’s mouths, and the next I’m being, what felt like, lectured.

Anyway, both shows have multiple showings on MeTV here, every weeknight, at least.

Gonna be there awhile. Landing (Lord willing) back in NJ on July 13th

That looks exciting, Steve. Interesting-looking city, and I like how the video showed images of its various economic sides, as well. What also caught my attention, were all the motorcycles!

I was there in the summer of 1998 when I was first courting my girlfriend...who after my 2 weeks with her, she became my fiancee.....and then became my wife.
Additionally I was there in 1999 when I came to get her to bring her to America for the beginning of our life together. Then I was there in the summer that preceded the winter we all first ever heard the word "covid". My last visit to Indonesia was in the Summer 2019. You may recall we also saw Singapore that summer.
So this will be the first time since then.
We'll be in Indonesia for 14 days but out of America for 16 days. It takes a day to get there a day to get back.

At least the one day you lose going there, you make up for coming home. I left Bien Hoa, Vietnam on a Wednesday at 12 noon and arrived in Seattle, Washington on that same Wednesday at 11:50am. Ten minutes before I left Vietnam. Good thing too, because by the time we flew to the Air Base in NJ (don't remember the name but it was near NYC), got transportation to Kennedy and waited for a flight to Vermont it was Thursday Morning and I was back on track. Didn't have any jetlag that I noticed probably because I had a few hours sleep on and off on the plane and by the time I got home I was feeling back to normal. Probably adrenalin, but I slept that night and woke up ready to go on Friday morning.

Once we arrive in Singapore we will stay in a hotel for 12 hours (take a nap ) and then we'll come back to Singapore's airport for a short connecting flight to Jakarta Indonesia. The return trip will not be like that. We'll just return to NJ and be totally exhausted.

That would most likely McGuire AFB. I flew United to Desert Storm under arms and ammo to get there but flew back on a C5 to McGuire. It sucked going because we had a 90 minute layover in Paris and I would have loved to at least walked around the airport but we couldn't get off the plane. I shouldn't say we couldn't because I was an officer and if I gave my rifle and sidearm to an NCO I could have done it. It just didn't feel right. I was the highest ranking on the plane and since I didn't no others did. We didn't lock and load till we were wheels down in Saudi. I think it is now joint base Dix McGuire Lakehurst? Something like that.
