Trip Report Tu in ‘25

Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise
Tu in ‘25

These lyrics came to mind when I thought about my trip reporting. (I also thought, Here we go AGAIN but the above sounds much more poignant.) It’s now that time of year when my Disney trips are frequent. And this Disney Senior loves sharing her visits with y’all because your engagement makes it fun!

Yes, there will be stuff that’s the same. Yes, there will be surprises (too soon for the reveals). And yes, there will be sun rises!

Spring break countdown is at 4 days.

Since this intro needs a picture, here are Tu.

@lindawdw we may have a new restaurant -

Though it means I’ll have to go to Disney Springs….:hilarious:

Jaleo is worth a trip to Disney Springs. :) The chicken croquettes and the potatoes bravas are great. And now I just checked out the menu again and I see that have added ham croquettes to the menu too, which makes me think Brad and I should pop in on our next trip.

I pulled out my first Disney journal today to look something up and I ran across this entry from June 24,1994. This was our second WDW vacation as a family of 5 (kids were 9, almost 6 and 2.5). Note my comment about WL, which had just opened a month earlier.

However WL room occupancy was 4 guests and thus not an option for our family. My first stay wasn’t until 10 years later when I surprised Woody with a four night stay during Flower and Garden 2004.

Our room rate was $155/night with tax.

Oh! We went to Mickey’s Luau when I was a kid! Definitely in the 94ish timeframe. I’ll see if I can dig up some pictures sometime.

You spurred me on to look for our Mickey’s luau pics. When I did not find any, I remembered our experience is all on video! It was about a thousand degrees that day, the kids did not like most of the food and it was a one and done for us - which the video reflects. 🤣

I did find this from the same day.

I worked at our local mall Disney Store from ‘09-‘13, and was a Lead Manager for a little over a year, at one point. Good ol’ Plush Mountain…I rebuilt that thing sooo many times over those years, even several times when I was an LM. One “fun” memory was running across those plush that little kiddos had slobbered on…oh, the memories…!!!!!:hilarious:
That Store was closed several years ago, unfortunately (it was one of the old “pink and green” Stores, of course), but a shot of our old Plush Mountain below…!!! :)
