Three bed options

Hi all, thinking of a trip for myself and two friends possibly three going down in May 2026. We would like to have our own beds but finding very few options for such a setup, The cabins, some villas at beach club or suites at like Art of Animation. Open to the idea of two rooms but not finding a way to do such a setup on WDW website. Anyone have any ideas for a situation like this? what would be the most affordable?

The cabins have two queens (one is a Murphy bed in the living room) and a set of bunk beds. Depending on the size of the adults, they might fit in the bunk bed.

There are relatively few options that guarantee 3 beds for 3 adults, without getting into the more expensive villas. The family suites at AoA and ASMu will have 3 beds (1 queen and 2 queen murphy beds). A couple of moderates (POR and CBR) have a smaller pull-down bed if one adult is small, but you can no longer book a room that guarantees it without a party of 5. Some of the deluxe resorts have a day bed plus 2 queens; I'm not sure if there is a booking category that guarantees it; hopefully someone else can speak to that. As mentioned the Cabins at Ft.W have 2 queens (one is a murphy) and bunks.

You can book 2 rooms but they won't be guaranteed to be connecting. This is probably the "most affordable" option, but if you really all want to be together look at the family suites for what is probably the next most affordable. Also be aware most rooms charge an additional fee for 3 adults.

The Yacht, Beach, BoardWalk rooms have a daybed that is perfectly suitable for an adult and that will give you each a bed. Same for Poly, Contemporary and Grand Floridian. I think every room has them.

Wilderness and Animal Kingdom Lodge only have 2 queens in the standard rooms.

You might consider a 1 Bedroom at Saratoga. There's a king bed in the bedroom, a Queen Murphy bed and daybed in the living room. Plenty of space for three adults.

The drop down beds in Alligator Bayou at Riverside are smaller, but somehow my 22-year-old son has no problem sleeping in one of them when we're all together so he doesn't have to share the queen with his twin brother, and he's 5'11". He hangs off a bit if he stretches out full, but he tends to sleep a little more "curled up."

They could also go for a 1-bed at OKW, Bay Lake or AKL Kidani. Or a studio at most DVC resorts which have a drop down bed which will sleep a small adult.

Yes. Very true. I thought that some of the studios only slept 4 though? I know there are some with a queen, a pull-out and a sleeper chair to sleep 5. But I thought there were also some that didn't have the chair and therefore only slept 4?

Yes, there are some studios that only sleep 4. And even some 1-beds that only sleep 4. It’s all very confusing lol!
The sleeper chairs are in the 1-beds that I listed, where the studios only sleep 4.
