Is this an attraction that you only go to see if you are already at the park?

Or, is this an attraction that you want to experience and "specifically" make the trip there to do it?

Example: When the new Test Track opens, I suspect I will travel to Orlando and buy a one-day Epcot ticket "specifically" to see it and will wait in a long line for it. This show, for me,...is not even close. It's only if I'm actually inside the park already and it's a walk-in with no wait. (I doubt there will ever be any wait for this)
No. This is not supposed to be an e-ticket attraction that non-diehard fans buy a park ticket to see. This is not a statement on the show’s quality.

The main attraction was the production not so much the performances. Another area for families to relax for 15 minutes is always a good thing.
srsly? You're praise is "hey, at least it's got AC". If that was the goal, the millions spent could have delivered a far nicer zen garden.

But hey, this is the same park that has been running the same stage shows for over 30 years... and people give that a pass.. while concurrently about the park not being a full day park. So why should we be suprised...

This and a revived 33-year-old show that should have died before the start of the 21st century are what we're getting in trade for Jim Henson's last work, the wittiest theme park show ever created.
First, why is Little Mermaid catching a stray. Second, there is no trade. Third, “Jim Henson’s last work” is carrying a lot of weight for Muppet-Vision in that sentence.

But at least we can enjoy the mediocrity without sweating indoors.

Whilst Test Track is probably the thing to actually get people to visit WDW this year (as the new thing of the year), the way that Disney have been marketing Summer 2025, The Little Mermaid show and Villains have been front and center, whilst Starlight is mentioned without an opening date and Test Track barely gets a mention. From a marketing point alone, it would appear that Villains and Mermaid are what guests should making a specific trip for, even though the reality is the opposite

You think this is supposed to be on the level of Test Track?
I literally gave you the answer to your question in what I said. Did you read it? Again,...no, It's not for me.

What I'm looking for is anybody here that "IS" interested in going to the park "specifically" to see this show.

We always call these shows and rides, "attractions". Why? because they are supposed "attract" people to go to the parks.

Is this show "attracting" anybody to go to the park? Or, is this show just a "people eating" time killer? Is this show just something people see to get some AC for a half hour and just successfully use-up part of your day?

Can a show be an actual "attraction"? Certainly! I think that Fantasmic and all other Nighttime Spectaculars DO "attract" high numbers people to go into a park.

This show looks to me to be just "filler" and not in the "attraction" category. If an "attraction" is not "attracting" people...then maybe it's not doing it's job?

I dunno,...there is no right or wrong answer here. This is just a matter of individual personal opinion and I'm just looking to hear from excited people who will go to the park "specifically" for this show.

Cute. Let me be more clear.

Muppet-Vision is exponentially superior to any show Disney has produced since it opened. Modern Disney is absolutely terrible at creating shows for a variety of reasons.

You might have insiders like us who go specifically to see it. But the average guest? No. It will be a people eater, like Indy and Frozen. You're on Sunset Blvd. You just did TOT. You're ready to do RnRC but need a short A/C break. Look! Here's a Villains Show. Inside. For 15 minutes. Let's do that.

Except that this is supposed to be a competition show...and there's only three choices. And they always say the exact same things. The only differences introduced is based on how much applause each one gets, and once you've seen all three scenarios, you've seen it all. It's not really built for re-watching.
How many choices are required to be a legitimate competition?

"fool me once..."

The trick will be is if the show is good enough to get repeat visitors. If not, it will be relegated to the "all the other lines are too long, lets do this..." fallback crowd before too long.

Probably not on its own - I think very few things do that for the average guest/family

But as part of the larger new offerings here and something else in the park that all ages can do - it will be of interest to most people to check out while they are at DHS as part of their trip and something additional to get excited about as part of that day

So will it "attract" people to book a trip or to go to DHS if they were planning to skip? No, but it will attract them to that area of the park and spread folks away from other attractions in the park

That’s a lot of words for an attraction that wasn’t intended to bring people into the park all on its own.

It's been mentioned before that, after AK, this park is not necessarily an all day park. So adding two additional shows--Little Mermaid and Villains--could spread out crowds and the length guests are in the park.

So by my count, HS will have six ongoing shows (five for a while after MV3D closes) during the day to spread out the crowds and keep them longer:
  1. Beauty and the Beast
  2. Frozen Sing Along
  3. Indy Stunt Spectacular
  4. Little Mermaid
  5. MuppetVision 3D>Monsters, Inc Show
  6. Villains
I'm not counting the Mickey short or Fantasmic for this purpose. Obviously, Fantasmic helps for evening touring.

agreed - DHS is a weird park as the % of rides that are major/poplar rides is very high, but with very view "C-ticket" rides and needs the shows (and to a lesser extent the meet and greets) to function as the "c-tickets"

Still think it would benefit from more streetmosphere (Citizens of Hollywood, March of the First Order, even the Trials of the Temple) but this is a step in the right direction

Disney was so h*** bent on no Star Wars outside GE after GE was built. Too bad. I loved March of the First Order. Yeah, they need to bring back Streetmosphere along Hollywood Blvd.
