Interesting how the adapted it for DCA, but I can’t imagine it topping the massive wide screen that’s revealed in the MK version. And it’s looked better than ever since they went digital!I can't speak to the tech but it looked pretty impressive to me. The front screen is very big (don't be fooled by the "curtains" around the orchestra pit in the opening and closing scenes of Philarmagic). The rest of the show with Donald chasing the sorcerer's hat took up a huge front screen and the sides were extended to the left and right walls.

Yep! It’s looked great since the digital projectors were added during the Coco update. At least the times I’ve seen itoh did they finally fix the blurry projections too?
Oh wow, I'll be there! There's this that the company I work for is hosting: https://agloriousfinale.com/
Not sure how many tickets are left (site currently says 4 for the panels and 1 for the full access ticket but they've been adding more sometimes); we had to move it to a large venue because it was too many people to fit at the studio. I've designed some stuff for this like a button-up shirt, which will be exciting to see, but even more exciting is that Imagineers who worked on MV3D will be there to do interview panels and show off concept art. People from TJHC were invited too but I don't know who from there will be there. There's supposedly one invited guest that is so big that it'd be amazing if they showed up, my guess is Steve Whitmire, but no word on who it is and if they're coming. I'm just a graphics guy, I'm not involved with the planning lol. It's $75 to come and see all the interview panels, and then there's other ticket options if you'd rather stream it at home for $15 or if you want to do autographs and such. All the proceeds from the event are used to get all the special guests here and accommodate them, and any extra is given to Give Kids the World.
Thats definitely not true. It’s far better at mkAlso, it has a better setup than Philarmagic in MK. It already has the wall projections as well.
They say if you watch Philharmagic at 12am on a blue moon you can quietly hear "Think we've got time for a bathroom break?" "We can't you old fool! We're bolted to the chairs!" behind the curtain and faintly smell banana cream pieAnd don't forget, those balconies MAY still contain the animatronics...

Ladies and Gentlemen, Steve Whitmire! Yayyyyyyyy
I looked into this, and I found the following picture that shows pretty clearly that the cannon is, unfortunately, gone.Funny that you mention that. At the end of Philarmagic where Donald's torso and feet extend out of the back wall, I could have sworn I saw it wedged inside or attached to a cannon. Hmm.
On the bright side, it probably wouldn't be hard to redo the cannon if they needed to. They're gonna have a spare from Florida now, anyways.I looked into this, and I found the following picture that shows pretty clearly that the cannon is, unfortunately, gone.

Wait, so that's not the real Donald being launched into the wall every show? Vacation ruined.I looked into this, and I found the following picture that shows pretty clearly that the cannon is, unfortunately, gone.
