Hopefully the team behind this is extremely passionate about it.

They have big shoes to feel for this space and have the opportunity to create something truly special.

Which is why they exist.

Gives you something air conditioned to do in between rides and meals, while giving your feet a break.

One of the reasons that MK is so pleasant to tour is that every single land* has a continuously running show that you can pop into to sit and enjoy A/C without much trouble. The parks need those kinds of attractions and they are largely lacking in DHS and DAK.

*okay not Main Street but that's kind of a special land and you aren't exactly there waiting for something to do between rides.

Once upon a time the Main Street Cinema wasn’t a store.

Oh, there’s a continuously running show on MSUSA called “Bad Parenting.”

Last month, I had the pleasure of witnessing some parents plop their diaper age child down on the counter at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Her diapered bottom was sitting on the counter where people’s ice cream treats are placed. Why, you ask? So they could take a picture of her holding her ice cream cone inside the Ice Cream Parlor.

It’s no wonder why stomach bugs spread so easily at WDW.

Not as bad, tho, as having a cat, and thinking about how often it places its undiapered derriere on all available food preparation surfaces.

There’s a subset of guests that don’t care where they are and have no respect for it. These are also the people who seem the least happy.

I've seen this happening not only at WDW, but everywhere where there's a food pick-up counter, unfortunately. Diapered and undiapered children siting on counters where food is placed.

Not to mention the countless times I've seen parents changing their children's diapers on top of tables(!) at quick service restaurants at WDW. Yuck.

Whatda heck is wrong with people?

Disgusting. And changing tables are ubiquitous at WDW.

For a long time Monsters Inc was my favorite Pixar movie. Still a top 3.

When Disney announced Monstropolis for DHS after so many years of rumors I supported the idea.

Until we found out it meant losing Muppet-Vision 3D.

Liking Monsters Inc and Muppet Vision are not mutually exclusive and one didn't have to go for the other.

Same with Great Movie Ride and Runaway Railway.
It takes a minuscule amount of creativity to make them work together. There’s no reason MV3D cannot still exist in that “land.” Are there really Monsters, Inc purists who do not believe that the Monsters universe has a form of muppet shows? Heck, just add in a laugh power gauge on the outside of the building and call it a day.

I think they just thought it was time to retire a ~35 year old 3D show.

Like I said in the ROA thread, it seems like this is the mindset behind every replacement recently, and that just makes it worse when they strike out.

This is a keen observation, especially from someone of your generation. This kind of comment will strike a nerve with some folks, which only speaks to its merit.

It's a fun show but it definitely feels OLD when you're in there. If it wasn't for nostalgia or the historical nature of the show because of the loss of Jim Henson I really don't understand the objection to something new.
Except those things exist and can't be removed from the discussion.

Again, the objections are not to something new. In fact, I would be willing to bet very few people would have a problem with something new being ADDED. Instead, they are replacing something that DOES have a good amount of nostalgia attached to it and DOES have historical significance.

Meanwhile, we complain about how dated BatB is.
