Trip Report Already? 2 broke guys for 2 more days of Music & Mickey! Live-ish!

Yes, yes, I know we just got back. We went in the middle of December, then again for Christmas, then again in the middle of January, and now - our third month in a row…

When: Feb 2-4
Where: All-Star Music, and All-Star Music (you’ll see.)

Wait, wait - that’s not right. Pretty close, but not right. Let’s try again.

OK but those were reject “blooper” pics from our last TR. Here’s one where we’re overdressed:

That’ll do.

And…Mickey.

It was pretty hot, and wait times were meh, so we went back to ASM for a little well-timed pool time. 🌞 We told Julie we’d probably be back.

No pics of us at the pool, or this TR might require a warning.

After about an hour, it was too cloudy to be worth reclining, so we went back to the room to shower & head out for round two.

But we had the same dilemma: which first? HS or MK? We had plenty of time.

We tried not to stay long, but two sisters chatted us up to the point they asked for my Facebook info. 🤣 So I bought a round of shots. Fans of Julie tend to get along!

We lingered a smidge too long, and had to get to MK. After those shots, the scenic route seemed like a good idea…🙄

As we exited the park and headed towards the buses, we decided to hop onto the skyliner instead.

These darn drunks at Disney!

We then realized we had to get off at CBR. Stop there? Nah. Transfer to Epcot line. Stop there? It started drizzling just as we disembarked. So…

Oh, wait! Take the Skyliner to Epcot and then the monorail to MK seemed like a great idea…except that you have to walk all the way from one end of Epcot to the other! 🤣🤣

I made a walk-up reservation for Rose & Crown, and it full on rained as we split a Shepherd’s Pie and kept our alcohol level steady.

This pear hard cider was delish(!) but 25 grams of sugar.

Sing us a song, you’re the piano man!

He didn’t sing, but played beautifully.

Brian wondered the significance of the odd circles in the windows.

It was a really nice unplanned bonus stop!

When the rain ended, we resumed our trek to the exit for the monorail to MK. 🚝

The theater was fairly empty. One family had a loud kid, who made loud sort of singing noises during the theme song. I can understand that. I’m not heartless.

But mom & dad wouldn’t shut up!

I gave looks. 👀

I even put my hand up in the air and snapped my fingers at one point!

They never shut up through the whole thing - our only MK attraction of the day. I wanted to give dad a close-up of the inside of the oven that doesn’t clean itself. Anyhoo…time for more food & alcohol!

We made our way over to the plaza as others found their fireworks spots. Wasn’t sure what to expect. Would we see fireworks or ?

Our fave attraction: Julie at the Tune-In Lounge.

I can confirm there are still bar stools!
You've known Julie for a number of years. Glad she's usually working there, when you visit!! :)

But only 3 at each end of the bar. The rest have been placed around high-top tables. Supposedly, this will end up being more of a lounge vs. bar seating. Are they trying to ruin our lives?!
Yah, a lounge wouldn't be the same fun as bar stools -- engaging in conversations with other patrons and bartenders. Then again, Tune-In never brought back the dinner menu to the bar -- used to be able to order dinner. Hence, nothing would surprise me at this point, about any upcoming changes in the works.

Even though we were dragging it out, the appetizers didn’t seem worthwhile, so we got right down to dinner.

That pot roast was mine, and @Tuvalu didn’t lie - it was fine! Like very good fine, not just so-so fine. Come on, fine rhymed with mine.

I have never had pot roast on toast before. (What is this, a rap song?) Brian didn’t think it was unusual. Especially with mashed potatoes, seemed odd, but no complaints.

My one bit of advice: if you’re serving green beans with a delish dish, do something to them - butter/olive oil, salt & pepper, anything? They were a drag on the plate, but I ate them to kid myself into thinking I was doing something healthy.

This is making me hungry now.

Brian had a triple turkey club with nice fat fries. He only ate half the sandwich and took the rest back to the room.

I finished with the dark chocolate banana 🍌 bread pudding with soy ice cream - also delish.

Seriously, I have to pause to eat right now. To be continued…

Circles in the windows are based on the bottom of Beer bottles which used to be in many of the historical/much older 'pubs' (public houses on which the Rose and Crown is based) used to have windows like this.
