Guess we’ll have to wait 30 years, but I bet you’re wrong.but I would bet a lot of kids who go for the first time today are not going to return with their children 30 years later to share Pirates and Haunted Mansion

Magic Kingdom is routinely the least popular park out of the 6 (4 WDW / 2 Uni) on the high school trips I run.
For no one to ever look at them, not even a glance.Out of curiosity, what do your high schoolers prefer?
Our last trip was April 2024. We normally do 1 full day in each Disney Park, and a hopper day for the two universal parks. However we dealt with a flight cancelation and lost our Animal Kingdom day for this past one.Out of curiosity, what do your high schoolers prefer? I’d assume DHS. Hopefully, Epcot, too?
I would say those make sense for a high schooler. Those coasters and Harry Potter lands at Universal play to their desires. Guardians at Epcot skews that number. And then Star Wars at HS.Our last trip was April 2024. We normally do 1 full day in each Disney Park, and a hopper day for the two universal parks. Around 85 students, and I always do a survey at the end of each trip to make adjustments for the next ones. I got 50 responses. I have them rate each park on a 1-5 scale, here are the rankings:
Universal Studios / Islands Day - 4.48
Epcot - 4.25
Hollywood Studios - 4.2
Magic Kingdom - 4.15
I do think the Universal day gets a little skewed because they get two parks in one day. And we did not get a full day at HS since that was departure day, had to leave for the airport by 5PM.
The previous trip in April 2022 had similar numbers, but Epcot and HS were flipped and AK was in between.
It will be family-friendly. Even Darkmoor is not as scary as some expected. The big question is, will they make the Villains Land leaning more for the adults or will they make it child friendly/not so spooky.
The bigger question is will it ever actually be built... It is a phase 2 project....and all we have seen is one Blue Sky fuzzy image of it... It may end up with the Mary Poppins attraction, The Table Top Festival Center, The PLAY Pavilion etc at this point.... Heck the Moana concept art we saw looked more developed than what we have seen from Villains.....The big question is, will they make the Villains Land leaning more for the adults or will they make it child friendly/not so spooky.
Out of curiosity, what do your high schoolers prefer? I’d assume DHS. Hopefully, Epcot, too?
I’m always happy when a young person loves Epcot. Our society still has some promise. My high schooler likes all of them. If I had to guess on her rankings it would be:
- Epcot (definitely #1)
- MK
- AK
- DHS
But she really isn't into thrill rides and isn't super into Star Wars
I just wish today's Epcot still had some promise... It was so ambitious and amazing...all they needed to do was update and add additional things that fit within the framework of the established park themes...I’m always happy when a young person loves Epcot. Our society still has some promise.
You have to understand @TheMaxRebo , his daughter would have been disowned of Epcot wasn't number one.I’m always happy when a young person loves Epcot. Our society still has some promise.
