MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

There is concept art for Tokyo Disneyland showing an updated Adventureland that would remove the Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room, Treehouse, and Train (at least the station)

So no rumor for WDW similar but leading to comparisons
Oh boy. Even in the worst case, we know Tokyo would replace these with WORLD CLASS attractions.

I do not have the faith in Iger's WDW.

I haven’t been…. But I’m not sure I consider Shanghai a true castle park.

For me, “Walt’s” Disneyland style park absolutely has to have a train - that’s what started everything.
Maybe Shanghai will put in an electric train that runs on lithium ion batteries that burst into flames that goes into a thermal runaway blaze that cannot be extinguished 🔥🔥🔥 ;)

Sorry, I got this thing about lithium ion batteries ;)

Or they can simply build a coal powered train since they love to burn coal.;)

I don't believe there is a world where Cars would ever properly fit the tone and style of The Magic Kingdom...but they have 4 parks, and it is a perfect fit for DHS...I am not sure why they seem so fixated on breaking the cohesive theming of the parks lately...in the end it will just end up a thematic mess...
IMO they see what has worked for Universal since Harry Potter and has followed ever since

the Shanghai park doesn;t quite feel like a castle park... it is huge...lots of areas of just forest... lands feel more disconnected, and it is missing some of the classic Disney rides... Pirates land is great... It feels odd without a Haunted Mansion or Jungle cruise... and Tron is not an equal swap-out for Space Mountain IMO... Their Tomorrowland is too based in a current city center... It is nice looking but completely lacks whimsy ... THeir Peter Pan was nice...As a whole though, it just felt lacking... I suppose in time it will fill out..... Not building a train is pretty sad though...

Found the post:
Concept art for the reimagined Adventureland and Port Discovery. Seems these two will be the major projects after the re-imagined Tomorrowland opens.
Click through the title for the actual images. Getting images from an existing post to appear again in another post is a problem for me.:(

Universal Harry Potter areas are gorgously themed and immersive... I don't believe Disney has created an equal to it yet... SWGE gets close but feels empty and lacking.... Lots of rockwork though..... And what we have seen of Epic looks like they have really stepped up their immersive theming in the different worlds....While Disney is just throwing random stuff just about anywhere...

I think driving through the wilderness fits into Frontierland theme. Magic Kingdom is magical. Why not add in the magic of "live" Cars for the kids?

IMO Cars Land > Wizarding World. Haven’t seen Diagon Alley.

Why not put the anthropomorphic living cars with the rest of the Pixar Studios IP at DHS? None of the landscapes in the Magic Kingdom reflect the auto-parts aesthetics of Carsland... on the edge of Big Thunder loosely based on real mountainscapes in the southwest...With very few exceptions, the stories and attractions of the Magic Kingdom are primarily Human/living organism based stories and attractions...When you jump to living automobiles it feels like a bridge too far.... for me anyway... The Magic Kingdom has always felt like the realm of Fairy Tales and Adventure Stories... Cars to me feels like neither... But DHS is about movies from all Genres... so in that park it feels very much at home....

You know what's funny?
lol. Is this a hot take? Now I should clarify that I’ve only been to Potter Land at USH but I can’t imagine what could be so much better/ different at Potter Land East that would change my mind. In terms of the land/ ambiance. Hagrids takes the attraction roster over the top.
Putting Epic aside for now, Diagon Alley is peak if we are talking about immersion, theming, detail, etc.

And the ability to board a fully themed train and take a ride from Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade is brilliant... No other park has ever done anything like that.
And it makes you buy a park to park ticket...muuuhahahaha.

Joking side, from the train and all the way down to very small details, this is what sets it all apart for me.

Cars Land in California is beautifully done... Lots of movie specific nods, it looks fantastic, and the RSR is a really good ride. Having a couple additional attractions really fleshes it out. We don't really know at this point what the Cars attraction will be like in the Magic Kingdom... another location from another film that did not feature the characters from Cars...but is somehow technically in the same universe...feels more like they changed the location to avoid being compared with the fantastic and ambitious Carsland they already built....knowing that this new addition is going to pale in comparison...
I guess it could be worse...it could be a Cars attraction featuring characters and settings from "Wish".... Honestly they could have continued the Frontier theming for the new attraction and based it off the old Disney vacation shorts with the Fab 5.... Mickey's vacation, Goofy's Hawaiian Holiday.... Classic Disney characters in real world inspired settings...Goofy's Off-Road Rallye.... That would have at least felt more in-step with the park as a whole...
