Half the show is the lagoon pieces.
This is the view from Dreamers point which is about 10 feet below and 50 foot forward of the lounge windows.

Tell me again how this is a good view?

I can't even think of stuff inside the buildings here. I'm still stuck on the Patch Adams work on the outside. Every time I see this, I think I have to put my feet in stirrups.

He lets Willow use some to christen his newest sloop. Like judge smails
Or Captain Jack, when he was rammed by Al Pellet on the Incisor...

I'm kind of surprised (well, maybe not that much) that so many seem so outraged about this. You really don't have to buy the fireworks viewing package if you don't want to and it is replacing a closed corporate sponsor lounge. If only all their revenue-raising efforts were this self-contained!

That's totally fair. This in a vacuum is far from the worst idea they've done. It's more the cumulative effect. This is far more meh than bad. But, at a time where "good" news is harder to find, it pushes the meh more negative than the objective neutrality of it. Let alone the missed opportunity here.

At least that's my view.

I am not the target market for any fireworks viewing package, but $180 (closer to $200 after tax as someone said) seems very high and I'm not sure how successful it will be. That's a park ticket for an entire day to any park.

I'm with you guys, that fireworks deal is probably too much for that view. For that kind of money they need to heft me on a forklift right in front of the show barge and give me a shake. Too bad we didn't get the toadstool.

I might like a visit to the lounge at noon before the room break, or before dinner.

This is where I am kind of indifferent. I wouldn't spent that money, but if someone else wants to they can be my guest. People spent all sorts of ridiculous money for things at WDW that I wouldn't, so perhaps there is a market for this. If there isn't one, then Disney will just have to adjust the price or stop offering it. Either way, eh.

Same. If anything, it gets more people out of my way!

I think more surprised and that it seems an outlier to other similar offerings and also just feels like another sign of Disneys actions being courting the high income guest while saying they want to make the parks more affordable

The lounge itself seems nice and will be a good addition (and is taking the place of something no one really went anyway) but the pricing for this specific element seems outlandish and hopefully doesn't mean more like it coming to other locations

the comparison to Victoria and Albert's was about right...you could have a 5 hour amazing meal for a little more...
or cocktails and watch the fireworks there... Not sure what kind of foods they will be offering at the lounge...

It follows a pattern of recent behavior.

They should have given the full revamp that SSE deserves (and was planned at least to some extend), which should include a full rework Project Tomorrow and this lounge....
