I just looked and all of May is sold out and half of June is sold out now.

This is the stuff I'm talking when I say some sound like they want this to fail. You're not outright saying it but you're implying it.
I’ve pointed out in this thread four times previously that a significant number of Epic tickets are allocated for multi-day tickets, which are not sold out. You can buy a ticket for May 23rd right now!

This isn’t a moral judgment or opinion (and I believe that if Universal got rid of the multi-day allocation, we probably would see more days sold out!) but the park is objectively only sold out for one day.

It's understandable why they don't want to get rid of the multi day tickets. They are trying to change the mindset of Universal being an add on to a Disney vacation. As well as they want people coming for multiple days.

I may have been wrong about it being sold out. My point still stands, instead of celebrating a brand new theme park, it's been a constant tear down of this park and Comcast as a a whole. All the issues with Epic aside, people should want Comcast and Universal to succeed.
Would it really be that bad if Epic becomes the 2nd most attended park in Orlando?

I'm sure Comcast will be fine. Epic is sold out for the first month already and I'm sure more days will be sold out.

I don't understand why some you want Universal' to fail.
Who wants them to fail? Being realistic is not wanting them to fail. Pushing back against the unrealistic expectations people are putting on this park is not wanting them to fail. Holding them to the same standards as their competition is not wanting them to fail.

Realistically:
- EU should be very successful.
- Over time it will grow the total number of people that visit Uni in Florida.
- It has still not solved the problem Uni has with families that are too young or too old.
- Early on it is going to have issues and likely be a bit of a mess while they work everything out. That is fine and should be expected.
- The first few years it is going to reduce attendance at their other parks.

Also, why do people keep saying it is sold out. Some single day tickets are but I just went on their site and can buy multiday tickets that include EU for every day except opening.

Great, but that means they are NOT sold out. Sold out implies they have sold all tickets they have allocated that would allow you to visit on a given day. With that metric, they have sold out one day. I'm sure they will end up selling out more but let's not pretend like they have already filled up the first few months.

Because it's annoying that no matter how many days you buy - you still can only goto Epic once.

So anyone wanting to go more than one day is still effectively blocked out... because single day tickets are the only way to get more than one day at the park realistically.

And someone trying to go for opening really is more concerned with seeing Epic than they are the other parks.

Everyone is splitting hairs here... reality is, the park is limiting access and it's throttled for at least now.

I hope it becomes the most desired Universal park. That actually sends the company a good message.

But as it stands currently? Epic can’t handle the gate clicks needed to become the second highest attended gate, it has no where near that capacity.

Everyone forgets Animal Kingdom was getting kind of miserable when it was pushing 14 million and was the second most popular park in Orlando.

It feels like any positivity about Epic is quickly shot down. It feels like some of you are scared that Epic may become the 2nd most attended park in Orlando behind MK. Why would it be such a bad thing of that happens?
Remember its also not really filling to capacity - Universal is capping the attendance much for for a few months to keep crowds down

The fact that the multi day allocation tickets are still avalible does not diminish the fact that Uni is not accepting 175 or more a person to enter.
Remember. No annual passholders, no team member or comps admitted.

The park allocated a lot of day tickets. Everyone in the park you see paid over 140(the Ap rate before sold out) dollars to be there and some a lot more.

The thing is no doubt a slam dunk so far.

I don't know, I did not dig into the cost, location, transportation as to why, I am just looking at the attendance numbers. I think its more likely if MK falls from the top spot, DL will take the top spot.

Could you imagine:
1 DL
2 USJ
3 MK ????????
With a brand new nighttime parade coming up in MK? They'll stay in that top spot for sure.

I don't understand why people who want Epic to be perceived as successful are setting up expectations for success that will be difficult if not impossible for it to meet.

All this talk about a hit to MK attendance on a similar level to when AK opened, Epic leapfrogging all the non-MK Disney parks, minimal impacts to US and IOA attendance, etc. is presumably beyond even where Universal are setting their more optimistic goals for the first year.

If a park does not want to take your money for a single day ticket (which are sold out for all of those May dates and more than the first half of June before the park even opens)

That is a lot.

Even more when this park is not allowing team members or APers in free and has no room anymore to sell the Apers their tickets.

It is like when WDW's APs and CMs are blocked out, which we know how rare that is and yet still how packed that is. So many APs get in before they are blocked out.

This IS completely sold out of allocated for anyone paying full price for a day. You know a theme park is doing more than well when doing that.

The only guest sold thing that is getting into Epic now for those dates after May are for people willing to spend 400 or far more per ticket set per person. And many of those days are inching closer to being sold out of that too. That spreads guests across for days at their other parks and venues.

Also, why do people keep saying it is sold out. Some single day tickets are but I just went on their site and can buy multiday tickets that include EU for every day except opening.
You would have to start at least a 3 day now if you want a day of EPIC in May. The base two-day ticket has sold out for the rest of May.

Universal knows a natural dip happens in the other parks, like others have said realistically, but also, those are not going to be quiet. People have paid to go park to park and AP sales are up.

IMO Epic being successful is by turning the average length of stay at Universal from 2-3 days to 4-5 days.
