No rumor about this attraction involves the theater going away, just the content of the show changing.

And Disney warns everyone who starts rumors that they aren't paying for those ideas surfaced in rumors, even if they turn out to be blatantly stolen already under development.

In fairness CBJ is not totally destroyed. Its a tolerable change. The rest I agree with ;)

I think they just don’t care about Frontierland anymore, which I’m mostly okay with because it’s always been my least favorite area in all of WDW.

Was Villains Land ever actually a rumour?

It doesn't really count when Disney tells us about it first in 2022. I found a lot of purported insiders merely laying claim to parroting the very things the company themselves floated first.

We only have like 5 real insiders who have access to the larger roadmap and most of them share notes. Then once in a blue moon one person gets privy to a specific project due to connections to a more secondary or tertiary level non-imagineering contact.

I’ve heard it multiple times over the years. Especially in the lead up to d23 2024. Before the 2022 expo I hadn’t heard anything about anything. went in completely blind to that one. (I am not and most likely never will be an insider. When I say I hear things I mean things other people in this community say they know)

Oh yes, I just meant that it's hard to claim ownership of a rumour that Disney started. Disney was our "insider" this time.

That was always my problem with the run up to D23 2024. Disney TOLD us they were thinking about Villains in MK first. All those accounts that appeared to amplify that have all gone quiet again.

That's a far cry from Martin coming out of the woodwork and telling us the incredibly unhinged move of Guardians to the Universe of Energy after Spirit out of the woodwork told us Guardians was being eyed for Tower of Terror(s). That's the difference between true intel and the parrots.

Yeah I’ve noticed that some people constantly bring up that they have “insider information too. Pro tip for anyone who has insider information don’t bring it up constantly. That makes you look desperate.
