It's funny in a strange way to see the modern, model room upstairs that doesn't hide the little forced perspective windows

I guess they wanted natural light into the space, but now the sales people will have to suggest what kind of view/balcony these rooms will have, instead of using a printed backdrop

Ideally yes, but it being out of the way has always been a bit problematic in terms of directing foot traffic to it, even from day one. My personal (but totally not happening) thought for the space would be that it would actually be a really good way to unload the DVC lounge from Imagination and return that to guest space in a hypothetical redo. Make the model room floor into a slightly dressed-down version of the first floor with all the usual free soft drink trappings and whatnot and you’d basically have the best DVC lounge on property while regaining space in Imagination.

It’s a place for guests interested in learning more about to DVC to meet with cast members and enjoy light refreshments including made to order maple taffy, it is designed to look like the lobby of a historic Canadian railroad hotel, see below View attachment 854366

Sure. The last 20 years it was a storage room. So I would consider this a plus.

It took 45 years and DVC to get an elevator into that building, but at least it's finally there

My hope is that DVC was the excuse to get this done, and eventually it will be used for something else

So who's allowed in and who isn't? They don't let you in unless you agree to hear the sales pitches and take a tour of the ill fitting Poly room? That's a pretty big new seating area for nothing, there has to be a long term plan in place here, I would imagine an actual bar. This is not going to work for dvc very long at all. It all just seems weirdly off as beautiful as that seating area is.

There was never plumbing in that part of the building, the house across the road is above the cast member restrooms backstage so probably easier for plumbing there
