Ouch! My Teva sandals are hurting my feet!

Last year, I owned Teva XLT2 sandals, and they never gave me any problems. I bought a new pair that I've only been wearing for about a week, in the same size and brand but a different color. However, the straps are cutting into the tops of my feet. I understand you have to break in sandals, but my last pair from last summer never gave me any issues. While I have just little cuts on my feet now, I'm worried that if I continue wearing them, they'll cause bigger cuts, which has happened with past sandals. I'm also a little heartbroken because the straps on the new pair are hurting me, whereas last summer they worked beautifully and I wore them to Disney World without any issues. I'm planning another trip to Disney, and if these sandals don't work out, I don't know what other brands or styles to buy, especially since I can't wear thong sandals if all the straps are cutting into my feet.

Have you ever tried Oofos? They're such an awesome shoe! I believe they can help with plantar fasciitis too! It was the sandals that I was referring to!

Chacos are very similar but a different strap layout. I know that you can adjust all the straps on Chacos, maybe you need to adjust the Teva straps some (if able)?

I number ONE tip to NEVER wear new footwear to the theme parks!

Use your most comfortable BROKEN IN footwear to use in the parks!

Fashion must take a back seat here.

If they hurt now, it will be impossible at the parks. I don't like open toed shoes at the parks. Just too much that can happen for them to be safe. I would take those back if you can and see about a different style. I would also just take broken in gym shoes.

To me, IMHO, the more worn and comfortable, the better…also, maybe it’s just me, but I would have nightmares wearing sandals and getting sunburn on the exposed skin on the tops of my feet…day 2 on my vacation is a hell of a time to realize that…

Oofos are an awesome sandal, but all and all in quite honesty it may be better to wear sneakers in the parks because a sneaker has more support for your feet than a sandal.
