Your argument is that most people think ita a bad ride. They don’t. You are the outlier and squeeky wheel.

The general park attendees love the ride. Get over it.
They're free to like it, but I'm not going to like it just because everyone else does. And even if I did like the attraction, I'd probably still think the CGI animation in it looks ugly.
I love Tiana’s. Maybe it’s your bias getting in the way.
If you love it, maybe it's YOUR bias getting in the way.
See, and you are welcome to love Tiana... and that is fine... People have opinions and you need to "get over it"...
People like and dislike all kinds of things.... and this is a discussion forum... So you want to say you love Tiana, great... but other people can have opinions too.
You might enjoy the official Disney threads...they are edited for only positive discussions and content.
What he said.

If we start getting models and additional concept art that lives up to the hype of that first piece then I'll stop worrying. I also do geniunly believe disney is serious about the current investments, and hope this will only grow due to pressure by UNI here and abroad.

There really aren't that many scary Disney villains anyways. Chernobog and Maleficent are the big two -- well, and the Horned King, but there's no way he will be heavily featured. The Evil Queen is probably the next closest unless I'm forgetting someone (and I certainly could be).

Jafar, Ursula, and Hades could be pushed in that direction if they wanted, but Ursula was always campy and it really wouldn't fit the character of the Hades that exists in Disney's Hercules.

EDIT: Dr. Facilier too I suppose in terms of the latter group.
Giant Ursula scared the daylights out of me as a kid!

The Little Mermaid Ariel's Undersea Adventure attraction at DL and WDW done Giant Ursula so dirty!

Imagine how nice the attraction would have been if they spent the money on the show scenes instead of the rockwork!
I'm still upset over the original proposal for a Little Mermaid ride for Disneyland Paris that never happened. Especially that version of the ride actually had a section based on the film's climax. The room where guests ride past Giant Ursula would had been a very unique experience (especially with good sound design and lighting).

That scene would had been Disney's answer to Universal's Kongfrontation.

A different proposal for a Little Mermaid ride was even included as a bonus feature for movie back in the mid 2000s.

I miss when Disney rides based on Disney Animated Film (including original rides) actually had some moments of genuine fear for guests. Seeing a motionless Giant Ursula silently screaming as guests headed to Ariel regaining her voice and "Kiss the Girl" is such an awkward scene.

Honestly if we’re stuck with the coaster as an attraction it needs to be SDMT level as far as theming and intensity goes.

Something the whole family can enjoy.
I have to disagree. There is only one attraction at MK that’s not traditionally family friendly due to intensity (TRON); there are zero attractions with tension or conflict-induced stories.

If Disney wants the MK to remain relevant beyond families with young children, they need the coaster to at least be TRON or Hagrid’s level intense, if not closer to Rockin’ or dare I say Velocicoaster (though the last is never going to happen).

Similarly, the dark ride doesn’t necessarily need to be physically intense, but it does need to have genuine conflict and create that feeling of excitement and nervous-energy (like Rise or the story of Splash).

I don’t know what side to take on this one. As someone that likes more trilling rides it would be nice if there was something in Magic Kingdom that I would actually enjoy being on but as a father I do appreciate that MK has very little that young children can’t do. WDW has the advantage of having 3 other parks to do whatever they want with and that is part of why MK’s family friendly nature is part of its charm.

I personally love intense coasters, the more intense the better for me but I would vote for a SDMT level for the villains coaster as it would result in a wider ridership and of course more LL sales.
