This sounds funny to me that Tiktokers are like a separate category of influencers. Their demographic is for people with short attention spans and then we have the proper Youtubers and media who creates longer and more thorough contents.

The categories of influencers can be short form and long form but typically it is more micro and macro based on how many subscriberes/followers.

Glad they are doing something new and have a new original song for it, etc. ... but the more I see of this one just not working for me - I'll keep an open mind until I see the full version but less excited for this than other things

Have to be honest this show does not interest in the slightest. If it was more like a mnsshp stage show then yes but this sounds more like a comedy thing. Some will like it though and I understand they needed to be careful not to make this to “scary” for the little ones.

Disney playing it safe on any aspects of Villains we'll be their undoing.

Wow. This is going to be a skip for us this summer. Not only are my nephews afraid of some of the villains, but it just seems kind of dumb.

"This show is groundbreaking in that the Magic Mirror does more than just talk. He's actually going to have a song of his very own."

My jaw is on the floor. This is truly an amazing development for Magic Mirror fans all around the world.

"Magic Mirror, on the wall, who's most misunderstood of all? But I can't judge, I just reflect. So what you see is what you get."

So the Magic Mirror is addressing the question to himself? And then his answer doesn't even make sense. The fact that he can't judge has nothing to do with the phrase "what you see is what you get." It just rhymes.

This is going to be cringe-worthy, in my opinion. No shade towards those who like it, but yikes.

Is there like one composer who does the music for these shows? This sounds an awful lot like Boo to You and the MNSSHP stage show music. Not that it's bad, but there's clearly a similarity here.
Roger Butterley produces a lot of the recent Disney Live Entertainment over the last ten years. Some of his work includes Happily Ever After, Disney Enchantment, Frozen Holiday Wish, Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Live, Star Wars Galactic Spectacular, Jungle Book Live DLP, Momentous HKDL, Pirates Party DCL.

Most interestingly, he worked on Club Villain which was in Sunset Showcase just under 10 years ago.

Is he doing Starlight?

Not joking, but this sounds like something ChatGPT would give you if you asked it to write a song about the magic mirror.

I used Suno, the AI song generator, with this prompt (limited by 200 characters): From the perspective of the Mirror from Snow White, hosting a show on which Disney Villain is most misunderstood of all. Must include "magic mirror on the wall." Rock, orchestra, classic gothic score.

The instrumentation is pretty fantastic in these, but the lyrics literally make no sense. I think I prefer Version 1, since the AI-generated singer is a bit more intense than Version 2.

Disney Shares Behind-the-Scenes Video and Original Song from New Villains Show

I like the song and the bit of score they showed in the video. It fits the vibe of how they promote the villains as somewhere between campy and “scary”. The video also furthers my thoughts about this show being a Disney Villains version of Six, which I can get behind.
