This is now the third time I'm correcting you, so, you should know better.

It's clear you have as an agenda item on your to-do list, "convince everyone that the 5-year projects announced at D23 will really be 7 years."

I don't expect your behavior to change, but it's clear you're not here to post in good faith. I'm saying this in case someone is taken in by your bad faith posts. And they now know how to evaluate all your other postings and not be taken in by the way you skew reality since you've already acknowledged you're posting for the personal lulz.

I do. I think there is a lot of opportunity to add beautiful mountains to Frontierland. From the artwork, it looks like they will add different landforms to replace Rivers of America.

I know this is an unpopular idea, but Rivers of America right now is really underutilized and so I don't blame Disney for wanting to put something else there. The Cars ride is really fun in Disneyland and I have high hopes for the change.

I can see that. If only they were proposing changes that utilized the river, I might be on board.

HUH? No one ever thinks that guy had any actual inside knowledge. From what I can tell, his role on these forums is sarcasm and photoshop, and I'm okay with that. For literally the entire time I've been here, it's never an issue. It's like someone issued a edict against him or something.

Ideas are drawn to scale starting on day one.

but some concept art takes more Liberty with scale then others. If you want to define the terms that’s fine.

Even with the cars attraction we have “blue sky” art and what I would call “to scale” concept art. I’m not saying it’s the correct terms… but not sure what to call them otherwise.

Yes! That is what I am seeing as well and I agree, I think that would look cool and fit in with the Frontierland theme.

Previously, there's been a back and forth over whether this is still Frontierland, or, by having this "mini-land" it is its own land and thus, not part of Frontierland.

Disney has not called it a "land" officially AFAIK.

I think it’s just all Frontierland.

Previously, there's been a back and forth over whether this is still Frontierland, or, by having this "mini-land" it is its own land and thus, not part of Frontierland.

Disney has not called it a "land" officially AFAIK.

To me, the D23 announcement was clear that it was a part of Frontierland. They introduced it by referring to Big Thunder, the Country Bears, and Tiana and saying Cars would join them, talking about exploring “new frontiers” or whatever. Mater also called it “Front-Tire Land”, which is a joke but I think if it was a new land it’d be called that (reminds me of the hilarious but wildly inappropriate “Engine Joe” easter egg someone suggested lol).

Having two attractions with the same IP next to each other doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a new land- Beauty and the Beast has an attraction, a shop, and two restaurants all next to each other in Fantasyland and it’s not considered a separate land. Same for Dumbo/Storybook Circus, Pirates/Caribbean Plaza, etc etc. The Cars stuff is just a subsection of Frontierland.

If the RoA is underutilized, it’s because Disney has failed to take advantage of the space. They could easily bring back the canoes (people canoe in FL all the time, alligators are not an excuse, it was a cost cut), the keel boats, a second steamboat (they broke the first one) and plus the river some. Use it for projections during the fireworks like at DL. Reopen Aunt Polly’s. There’s so many things they can do with that space that would increase capacity and make them money.

To me, the best case scenario is cutting the river in half, putting Cars on the back half and leaving the front. Either keep the rafts to the island or add a bridge/tunnel for people to use to get to the island. You get the walkway that connects BTM and Mansion, you get Cars, and you keep the scenic views of TSI and the riverboat. Everyone wins.

Also, imagine if they kept the island and built a nice waterside dining location where Aunt Polly’s is. The views at night looking towards the Mansion/LS would be beautiful- plus the fireworks- and you could make a ton of money through reservations!

My best case scenario would have to build encanto and villains land and put an up ride in animal kingdom. ( that said I am still very excited for the encanto ride that is coming)

My biggest issue is for an off road rally race, the speed is going to be dumb downed to play to non thrill group that make up Disney. IMO it should be as fast at Test Track of 65 mph if not faster. And it should stimulate drifting around corners

I agree with you that it should be thrilling since there a kiddie version beside it. However, how will a 64/65 mph speed work in an uneven terrain? It will be a painfully rough experience if that is the case. I would imagine it would be like Indiana Jones/Dinosaur type of bumpy experience but still tolerable.

For some it's a failure due to downtime and it's a continuation of going away from the theme of the parks. Shoehorning IP where ever it fits.

I'm at the point I don't care what they do anymore. The average guest cares as much as about the history and theme of the parks as those in charge do. Cars will be a success no matter what it ends up being cause today's guests have an attachment to Cars.

Yeah, but they also shouldn’t be a hodge podge of random attractions shoved into wherever marketing thought they’d generate the most money.

(To be clear, I don’t mind Tiana’s, I actually like it. The Cars takeover is what I don’t like. I’m just debating the “museum” point.)

Dude you completely missed what I was saying. I'm all for new attractions cause the parks need it. My issue is always been how they go about doing it. Disney parks used to have a theme to them with attractions and IP that fit that theme.
