Trip Report Surprise!! Happy 10th Birthday J!!🎉🥳

It’s been awhile, but I really want to get back into the TR’ing world(special thanks to my friends I met at BJ’s!!)

As the title says, this was not only a birthday trip but a surprise for him!!

Before I get this started let’s take a look back through the years….

His first Disney trip before he got his very first haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop!!

Post haircut & first of many times seeing YeHaa Bob!!

He learned young!!

First carriage ride at POR with mom, grandma & Aunt Patti!!

Anyone remember this?? It will resurface later in this TR!!

He would love when we stayed at POR & I would go to FQ to get beignets!!

We’ve had so much fun over the years!!

Drenched but he has his jelly beans!!

Don’t worry, the Powerade is his!!

J still loves the Tambu Lounge!!

Yes, it was amazing!!

I love how you printed out the LL's and had it all in a big card for him to read through. That is a better read than the safety pamphlet on the plane! (I always think of J when I see that pamphlet on the plane and giggle just a little.)

J & the safety pamphlet-I think of him every, single time too!! Whether I'm flying with him or not!!
Thank you!! That was a bit rough, I must say. Stores don't sell "big cards" like that anymore. I looked everywhere & ended up ordering one through Amazon a few days before. I didn't totally love the "basic, boring" card that they had but it was the size I needed. It ended up working out perfectly!!

I hope all is well. For me, I'm finding that I don't really like being in my 50's. I have a new emotion every day. I never know what I'm going to be like when I wake up.

We need to talk more--50's suck!! I have a new emotion every day also--probably from all the tests I have to deal with. In the next week I'm having a CT scan, MRI & a colonoscopy. I also have my car inspection scheduled in that time also.
And, I work full time.......

I am so happy that you're doing this TR Patti!!! I've been so busy that I haven't been on the forum boards too often, so it was a pleasant surprise to see you started this one when I checked in today!!! We were so excited to be a part of J's 10th birthday celebration, and I always enjoy my time with your adorable family. I can't wait for more!

I am so thankful that we were able to meet up & meet your dear friend!! I can't wait to see her again-she was absolutely a delight!! And, of course, it's always an absolute pleasure to be with you!! Looking forward to October & to seeing Pete again also!! I think he missed being with us!!

Amen!! I'm 50(& have never stayed there) & he got his wish at 10!!
He is the best kid ever though, thoughtful, kind & sweet. He deserved the special trip that he got!!

You are so thoughtful! What a great idea with the card! I may steal it for Brin in August.

I am disappointed that I haven't seen a picture of R sleeping yet! Lol! You may have to do a picture video of that someday!

B/C J was going to be 10 on this trip it was a big one. We hinted/talked & booked restaurants that we knew he would want. Picked a resort that he always wanted to stay at. Got him LL's for his favorites!! It was a perfect trip--just wish we could have stayed longer!!
I would so hope we could meet up one day!! I think it would be so much fun!!

I need to start the posts for this day by saying this was pretty much the nicest day ever. Everything worked out so incredibly well!!

This was on our floor & looked really nice. I never saw a single soul in it the whole time we were there though.

On our way!!

We had a LL for SSE first.

After we tapped in I was able to get us one for Soarin for not long after!! It worked out perfectly!!

We visited Journey of Water on our way to The Land.

We used our LwtL LL first.

So glad we got a LL & it was the perfect time!!

Then it was time to meet up with our friends!!

We ended up having lunch in the wine cellar at Tutto Italia.

We had a wonderful lunch but unfortunately, all too soon @lindawdw & her(our new)friend had to leave to get to the airport. It was so much fun being able to spend time together, as always!!

After lunch we used our next LL.

Then it was time for our Guardians LL. I only bought them for J, JSR & myself bc R & E don’t ride it.
R & E headed to Yacht & Beach Club to look in the stores.
Of course we had to stop at Club Cool.

E sent me this. No surprise here, I’m sure. Right, @littleroo?

We were making our way around WS. Remember how I said this pic would resurface in this TR? E & JSR were checking out the stores in Italy while I was having memories of J!! Anyone remember this?? He kept thinking he was big stuff climbing these steps in his Crocs even though mom kept telling him no. Then he fell. Sometimes they have to learn the hard way!!

He was lucky enough years ago to be picked by Sergio & he got him again this day!!

Afterwards we watched the drummers in Japan. @MickeyCB I thought of Gary

We were having an absolutely wonderful day in Epcot!!

We had made our dinner reservation at Teppan Edo. In asking J about places he wanted to eat on future trips this was one of them.

R got some kind of sushi.

Our chef was super fun & entertaining!!

We had a great meal & lots of fun there!!

After dinner we decided to head back. It had been a long full day!! We were happy with all the different things we were able to accomplish!!

We were so excited for this moment!! We purposely made sure J was walking in front so he could see it first!!

The decorations were so fun & festive!!

J was totally surprised & really enjoyed them!!

We went outside, watched the fireworks & called it a night. We all commented on what a great day it had been!!

Today was the big day!! J was now double digits!!
And where else would we spend his birthday but in his favorite park-HS!!

We did not have a LL for RNRC so we(J, JSR & I)made it a priority to head there first.

This tells you what E & R did while we visited Aerosmith. As if you didn’t already know!!

We had LL’s for ToT. R & E stayed at Baseline since they don’t ride it. I went on once with JSR & J. Then they rode a 2nd time.

Next LL was for MMRR. JSR made friends with the couple in line behind us so we all rode together!!

I had got (some of)us a LL for Star Tours next.

Unfortunately, the next few hours things started going south.
We had a LL for TSM. The line was long & not moving. Only one track was running. After waiting awhile we asked if we could come back later so we didn’t miss our next LL.

And this is where our journey ended. Down it went.

They gave us LL’s to return later which we never did. I’m sure the line would have been insane. We were bummed but what can you do?

J wanted to see Indiana Jones. What could go wrong here??

A modified version of the show due to technical difficulties. This just wasn’t our day!!

Wait times were high but Toy Story had come down so we figured the other tracks were running so back there we went.
