MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I would say Stitch is more of a crime than that, but I see your point.
I feel like that space should house an attraction though. putting a lounge in an attraction is a waste of space, especially with an empty lounge nearby. Putting DVC in Stitch would be the same effect as putting it in the Shootin Arcade.

On that note, what do you even replace Stitch with?

The point is this: as insiders, we can pick apart the author and the article. Nevertheless, this article gets out the overriding point to readers who haven't read before that Disney is destroying its own parks for the sake of IP. They're tossing Walt's vision to the wayside.

If it takes a poorly written, almost AI article by a bad author to drive home this point, then good. The dissatisfaction needs to go beyond fans and insiders to the mainstream.
And what if that dissatisfaction never materializes? What if the general public is fine with this? I think it's a little foolhardy to assume you're gonna find any outrage in the general public over the river. I know that for a lot of people, this is a real punch to the gut, and I empathize, but you're just not going to find allies in the general public. They don't care about Walt's original vision, they don't care about whether or not something's got history. They just don't. They never have.

I promise you this is a conversation that is only happening among the park fandom because we're quite literally the only ones who really care about this stuff. Most people who go to Disney don't and never have thought that deeply about it because they're not interested in it. They just go to ride the rides, meet the characters, and then go home.

I would be genuinely astounded to find anyone who doesn't identify as a Disney parks fan that feels as strongly about this change as the people on here do.

At this point, they should just rename the place “Six Flags Over Central Florida”.

EPIC will not kill WDW, but EPIC may force WDW to do quick things to rebuild the bubble, bring back perks etc. and if this happens, the guest wins!

It seems they’re already bringing back a strip-mined version of Magical Express, according to DFB yesterday.

Essentially, you drop off your luggage off at a desk the day before your flight (1:00 am is the cut off), and they’ll ship it to MCO for you.

Caveats:
- it’s in partnership with Southwest Airlines and no other carriers
- it’s only available to value resort visitors (pop century and art of animation were mentioned specifically)
- it’s only for moving your luggage OUT of the resorts, not for moving guests, and definitely not for bringing folks in.

The average tourist probably won’t directly complain about the river unless they’ve been there before, but I guarantee you there will be lots of complains about “ugh it’s so hot over here” without people realizing why that is.

You are correct, the average tourist might not directly complain about the loss of the river
But the average tourist still notices what is attractive and what isn't.
Uni put a lot of work into making Epic pleasing to the eye.
Lots of "wasted space" that isn't full of rides.
And yes, why is it so hot in Cars Land?

The day before? Pffft. That's worthless. If that is truly the case, no thanks. I'll take it to the airport myself.
