TBF, I am not believing *any* announcement made today.
Well, they went out their way to say "Not an April Fools Joke!". I believe them on this one. Epic opens around the same time so they're doing what they can to keep guests "in the Disney bubble." Can't say that I blame them.

Disney has an announced Blizzard Beach will reopen on May 21, which means both waterparks will be open through September 7, 2025:

Details:

This has actually made my holiday this year. We can only visit in August and as such, have not been able to visit Blizzard Beach (our favourite water park) since our trip in 2017. Soooooo good. Summit Plummet here we come....

By my count:
Disney Springs rides (4): Aerophile, Marketplace Carousel, Marketplace Train express, Amphicar
Animal kingdom will be down to 4 this winter when Kali and Dino Close: Everest, FOP, Navi, Safari...
Yes and at Disney Springs, you can observe wild animals trying to park their cars in the Lime Garage most afternoons. At DAK, all of the animals are asleep at that time.

DHS also got down to 3 rides right before TSL opened. Star tours, TOT, and RNRC.

TSMM was up almost the whole time SWGE, MMRR, SDD, and Alien were being built, but I think it was down for like 3ish days while they switched the queue from pixar place to TSL right before that area opened.

Disney really are reaching.....
No, they're not. Universal reaches by referring to Volcano Bay as another theme park. Disney has not done that, and is not doing that.

In the Disney Parks Blog announcement, they do refer to 6 parks, but then immediately explain what they are. The announcement reads, "For the first time since 2019, Disney World will have all 6 of our parks—all 4 theme parks and 2 water parks—open at the same time." There's nothing inaccurate or "reaching" about that.
