It wasn’t bad, but I was really hoping they’d go into the history of the house with the hatbox and bride storyline taking place in the 1800s. The whole ‘modern family gets wrapped up in supernatural situation and makes jokes’ has been very played out in recent years
If they’re already working in the attic, they really need to move the hatbox ghost where he belongs. Even if that means moving him inside the attic where he used to be in 1969 at Disneyland, he really disrupts the attraction by being in the hallway scene. I think it was said somewhere that the...
I think we lucked out. Bride looks good, although I would’ve liked her to have a 3D-sculpted head.
The stretching room lives another day! I think we may be out of the woods on this one hopefully, as no matter what Kim Irvine said, if there was a time to change it that time would’ve been over...
Yeah, Constance felt like her story was being spoon-fed to us and had ‘edgy 2000s’ written all over it. The slightly more tragic direction feels more timeless and is open to greater interpretation without force-feeding you a story. Much more aligned with the 1969 mansion
I think Universal has been doing that for a while. Especially with their older rides they’d always have a sign that says ‘Simulates a shark attack which may be intense and frightening.’
Disney has maybe refused to do this for immersion purposes, but a small sign outside of the mansion saying...
I mean technically we’re getting the beating heart bride back. We also got the Hatbox ghost back. It’ll take a while but I guess it’s not impossible they restore the stretching room and HHG someday. We’ll just have to see how botched they are on Saturday
As much as I have my fingers crossed they won’t change Tiki Room, I do struggle to find reasons why they would outside of IP infusion. I think they should never have touched Country Bears but I’ll admit that the show did have a few adult jokes that Disney maybe wasn’t too fond of anymore...
Agreed. HMH is more about celebrating Christmas than it even is about Nightmare Before Christmas. It’s almost like “A Very Haunted Mansion Christmas featuring Jack Skellington and Friends.”
I thinks it’s a shame that the most famous haunted house in the world isn’t able to be experienced on...
While true, Islands needs less work overall. The only glaring issues are Lost Continent, the current state of River Adventure, and the empty Toon Lagoon theater. It currently has a much stronger lineup than USF.
Right now USF suffers from a lack of cohesion, lack of a standout thesis...
