TUI is leaving Sanford in 2022 for Melbourne.
LGW is my usual route. LHR is actually easier for us so direct flights from there will be an improvement if offered.
One thing that’s for sure is UK to Florida capacity will be down significantly for a very long time.
DVC Owner here... had May...
Hadn’t realised so much changed at the resort when they added BLT. Especially the WAVE isn’t as old as I assumed.
To be fair the refurb at Gasparilla Grill didn’t add much - maybe less than 50 seats?? Probably the smallest change but also smallest DVC addition.
They still have ‘handlers’ with them. They could easily remain passive to what ever situation they find themselves in and let the CM with them sort it out.
They have fans / air jets on when the ride is ‘moving’. It is very subtle but helps limit motion sickness. I can’t do star tours but felt fine on this one.
This has been our experience excluding the weekends during the day.
Bonus awful behaviour near closing. Epcot on 15th Sept we entered the stand by wait time for Frozen at 9:40pm (10pm park close) with a posted 50min wait. Cast Member further in the line tells us it is actually only a short wait...
Just got back to our room after spending a few hours at Epcot today. Soarin was indeed a walk-on when we road at around 14:30; the FP lane (which we used) and the stand-by line were empty where they both merge. I happened to comment to the wife it is rare that a Soarin FP is a waste!
We spent...
In the short-term I can't see an impact as the trips to WDW from the UK are typically planned well in advance.
I'm expecting the GBP to recover to around 1.43 over the next 3 months based on what I am reading.
What will change is spending patterns while the pound stays weak. Items that...
Wouldn't it be more so the lack of management to empower cast members to address guest behaviour rather than 'DVC Construction'. The bungalows can operate in that location without influencing the behaviour of the wildlife if the general policy of ignoring bad guest behaviour wasn't so prolific...
I'll assume this is true for a second. This is a key bit of information because it speaks for the accountability being on guests which tends to get lost in this conversation. For me the doubt enters my mind when you take in to account the guest 'feeding' behaviour that Disney has clearly opted...
As far as I am concerned it is ignorance on the guests part; we travel internationally to WDW for our vacations and make an effort to respect the local laws. We knew day 1 it was an offence to feed gators and spent several days reviewing the law/rules on driving before jumping in the rental car...
Disney senior management will be hyper sensitive but more passive at executive level I suspect. Management will suddenly show more interest in CM feedback but it will quickly drift away. At a PR level they will just lay low!!
The executives will divert attention on attendance to all the new...
We stayed at the BC late Sept-15 and seen this also. You only had to lean slightly over the water and the turtles would swam ready for food; the small gator would always be near-by and only very regular feeding would explain this behaviour.
We stayed at the 'swampalows' in Dec-15 and can't say...
