DLR will likely open in July or August, and they better be ready.
I live in So Cal and almost everybody I know is itching to hit those Parks as soon as they open, even my "non-Disney" friends.
Totally different situation than WDW, which will probably open in fairly mellow fashion.
If people don't want to go, they shouldn't go. Nobody's ignorant to the risks.
I've been going almost every year for 30 years.
But I took last year off, and I need my Disney. They could make me wear a spacesuit and I'd go.
But if I can't go there, Universal is a decent second choice.
It's takes me all of of 5 SECONDS to put my mask on.
But I honestly can't blame people who don't want to go right now, they shouldn't.
And frankly those of us "glass is half full" people who will love WDW in any form don't want those people around us right now anyway.
I need the Disney Resorts open, and their swimming pools.
That's it..... I'm there.
Everything else is a bonus.
But I'm pretty unusual.
For my 11 night trip next month (Poly & Wilderness Lodge), I had only been planning on three days at the parks, two days at the water parks, plus some Disney...
They certainly can do that. It would definitely solve the huge problem of Villa availability in the future.
But that decision would have to be weighed against alienating & disappointing many of their most loyal & reliable customers.
