I'm also a big Dinoland fan. I'm working on taking pictures of all of Dinoland's small details; I hope to get everything up on a website eventually so even when it's gone people can see how much stuff was packed into the place.
Did you know Dinoland has three characters you can see repeatedly...
The kid is supposed to be a parallel to Shortround and make you like Helena more because "see! She's got a heart and she's actually a lot like Indy!". I think they have the same "he tried to pick my pocket" backstory.
He just doesn't have any of the stuff that made Shortround likeable, and and...
The weird thing about Wish is that a huge issue for it is being stuffed with way too many characters, but most of them aren't there for any kind of storytelling reason.
- All of Asha's friends are there to be a reference to the seven dwarfs. Maybe at one point they planned for just one and they...
This film promoted and styled itself as a celebration of Disney's legacy. Aside from the implication that you should be celebrating your hundreth anniversary with something worthy of your amazing legacy (which simueltaneously gives the whole movie a veneer of arrogance and angers people because...
Surely they know, though, right? Everyone has to know he handpicks? He's very open about "I have been challenged to take a risk today...", no one seems confused by that. Asha seems convinced she can nudge him towards her grandfather's and he says that's happened before.
Then again the people...
Something I think is very important and never see brought up is that Magnifico specifically has a line about the people who come to Roxas failing to achieve their wishes and coming there because of that.
"You're completely missing the point; people come here because they know they cannot make...
Walt was always very open about how he wasn't making kids' movies and even found the idea of stuff solely for children dumb. I think you can see the shift in the company's view pretty clearly with the recent live action remakes and how they handle the exact same concepts.
Just look at how they...
Now I'm worried that, if Bon Voyage Breakfast ever shows up again, they'll have a new character lineup there, too.
This was the only place to meet Flynn or Eric and I want them back or at least someone exclusive.
It's wishes, but not the actual act of making a wish, more the concept of having a desire.
Otherwise known as a base part of characters in Western culture. Literally every film fits.
They might as well not even have a theme.
How is this being judged? Are films put onto Disney Plus in bundles after premiering before the service debuted having "premiere" numbers counted? Because Disney Plus debuted in 2019 and Walt Disney Animation Studios has only made five films since then.
(Of course, even if they track all of...
- Entire movie gets criticized for feeling like it's so busy aping previous films it doesn't have its own identity
- Including the protagonist, who is called a boring clone of previous, very recent characters
- Shove in extra characters solely to say it's like the seven dwarves
- "We had to...
I wouldn't. They're a cute novelty, but the cake itself is really strange. The outer coating is jelly-like and the inside tastes more like some cake mixed with pudding (apparently it's mousse?). It went almost entirely uneaten when we bought one and we haven't even considered trying one again.
