Generally while on a TA a cast member is guaranteed placement in their previous role for up to 1 year, but sometimes the "previous" role cannot be held and the cast member takes the TA at their own risk.
I would a definition of "merchandise is crap" that I keep seeing. There is more variety in product today than there has been in years- product not only specific to attractions but to Parks in a way we haven't seen in a long time- the MK 71 stuff, Epcot retro, Frontierland, all of the bobbles...
How bout you either take the time to enjoy the parade - it's not my favorite but it's not my least favorite & I think they dancers do a really nice job - OR you skip the parade and catch a place in line at an attraction of your choice.

I don't have an issue with the bags, napkins, etc. but I do have an issue with the YOMD banners and spiels still being in place. That celebration has ended and those things should be gone - I'm really shocked that they're not.
