I’d bring back all the things that used to set Disney so far above everyone else:
Bring back the Disney look.
Bring back the Disney quality shows.
Bring back the Disney quality parades.
Bring back the Disney quality spectaculars (this one they’ve kind of done).
Bring back the Disney quality...
Especially if you eliminate much of the valid use at the same time.
How would this work for couples? I stand in line alone while my GF wanders around or sits on a park bench alone? We both spend the majority of our Disney vacations alone? Sounds pretty unwelcoming to me.
Crazy that they wouldn’t pay $80 million for a piece of land that would not only connect their 2 largest pieces of land but also could be used for hotels and shopping when they paid $32 million for a tiny hotel that only provided enough land for a walkway to where they want to build a parking...
Resorts, Epcot, and Disney Springs all have some pretty great restaurants, the other parks are pretty slim pickings though, we love the Liberty Tree Tavern at MK and 50s Primetime at HS but that’s about it, it’s quick service for us the majority of the time in the parks.
We always opt for...
But Disneys avoiding this scenario because the laws aren’t clear cut which leads to a lot of interpretation and lawsuits, for people like my girlfriend who can provide decades of medical paperwork it‘s frustrating because it would be an easy solution that would weed out the vast majority of...
Not true, my girlfriend’s heart condition will no longer qualify for DAS and she can’t go on probably 70% of the rides at Magic Mountain.
You seem to be ok with collateral damage as long as the cheaters can’t abuse the system anymore, those of us who are the collateral damage think it sucks...
Disneyland was absolutely packed most of 2023, they slowed enough toward the end of the year to convince them to offer cheap kids tickets though, that kept the parks packed for the beginning of 2024 but we noticed after that ended our trip last month was the first time in 2 years the parks felt...
No, a disabled person is unlikely to go to six flags because they aren’t going to be able to go on most of the rides.
Not many people with a heart condition (or nausea issues, or mobility issues) are going to a coaster heavy thrill park full of rides that they’ll struggle to get on.
I imagine the others don’t have those problems because most disabled people don’t go there. Disney has a disproportionately high number of disabled guests because people knew they’ve made accommodations that made it possible for disabled people to enjoy the parks. Disney will now join the...
There’s a lot of gray area between those two examples, I know someone who‘s a veteran who has (had) DAS because of PTSD and severe panic attacks, honorable discharge and full disability from the army… should they get it? 99% of the time they'd probably be fine without it but I’d hate to be in...
I think this is a common theme in a lot of Disneys recent failures, their characters don’t grow, they don’t overcome adversity, they are seemingly perfect and “the best” at everything they try, with or without training.
I think the new Mulan is still the worst example of this, in the...
I agree with this but it feels like they are ignoring the elephant in the room and “fixing” the wrong thing. Genie has been extremely unpopular, not only has it made the FP lines longer but it’s also made the standby lines move slower at the same time, it’s had a negative affect on all aspects...
Genie+ has also created long lines that never existed before, using DCA as an example the Little Mermaid and Monsters rarely ever got over 15 minutes before, no need to use DAS for them, now that they have Genie they’re frequently over 30 minutes and the LL/DAS line is as long as the standby...
I’m not sure if your numbers are accurate but they are in line with what we currently are able to do with DAS, maybe this is the solution… rather than eliminating DAS for guests that may need it just limit it to 3-5 rides per day, or whatever number they determine will result in DAS guests...
I’ve seen this first hand, we have a friend who has a genuine medical reason for DAS but she will also use it to skip a 15 minute queue, that she has no medical reason to skip.
We’ve done it ourselves, my GF is fine in line for 30 minutes before fainting even becomes a threat, but when a line...
