Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Maybe the Florida Keys debate deserves its own thread now? 😉

News New Mickey Mouse meet and greet coming to the Imagination! pavilion

Agreed. Which is why the whole post-show Imagination pavilion feels very off with all of the photography-related stations when the Imagination ride has nothing to do with photography. Feels very much like an abandoned Kodak pavilion where Disney tried to keep the old stuff going without the...

News Splash Mountain closing for lengthy refurbishment in early 2020

Noticed some AA issues last month. Particularly the gator when it has Brer Fox's tail....he isn't moving back and forth and is just stationary. Plus the jumping fountains weren't working either.

What's it like in February at the happiest place on Earth?

I've gone in February a few times (after President's Day weekend) and the crowds are decent, but the weather can either be cold or hot so plan for both.

Has Disney Pricing Increases/Atmosphere Cuts Altered YOUR FAMILIES WDW Attendance?

Used to go every year and stay at a DVC resort (renting points) until 2013 when we got burned out with the price of the vacation, decided to take a break and let a lot of the construction that was going on complete. Ended up visiting Disneyland in 2015 and 2016 and really enjoying those parks...

    Disney's new Ticket.

I'm taking my two teen boys next week and I went with these mid-day tickets. Instead of spending $975 for 3 day passes, I spent $729 and saved $250. Both of my boys like to sleep in, so we weren't getting to the parks before noon anyways. So saving $250 made sense to me!

    American Adventure Issues

I was there at the beginning of March and noticed the gas station lifting very slowly with dialogue already going before the characters' heads were above the stage.

    DVC Availability in October Mid-Week

Could someone check availability for me? Looking for a Studio on a Tuesday and Wednesday Night in October. Could do 10/3-4, 10/10-11, or 10/17-18. I know fall availability is non-existent right now, but hoping something might available. Many thanks!

    Rumor Bye Bye (Tiki) Birdies?

Ditto. Mine was likely 2013. Visited Disneyland in 2015 and 2016 and will return there before I go back to WDW.

What will happen to the Electrical Parade after its current run?

I loved seeing MSEP in the late 90s at WDW, but then hated it after seeing Spectromagic. I hated it even more after TDO destroyed Spectro. Now that I've seen Paint the Night, I'm hoping that TDA holds to their word and ends MSEP in June before my next trip to DL in 2018.

    Castle Diamond Overlay Returning?

My guess is they want to sync this up with the MSEP parade.

    1st Trip to Disneyland

As a fellow WDW vet who made the switch to Disneyland, you need to throw your WDW transportation experiences out the window. When staying at the Grand, we would be at DLR's Main Street within 5 minutes of leaving our DVC room. It's that close. I would definitely recommend adding in DCA if...

MAXPass (upcharge mobile Fastpasses) coming to Disneyland...impacts to WDW?

Is it $10 for each ticket holder? Or just $10 per day for the photo pass feature. How would that work for a family of 5? Not like all 5 family members would need to download the same photo.

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

LA might have an edge since it has existing facilities and turned a profit in '84. Supposedly the IOC is drawn to that after Sochi and Rio.

    How Long Should We Go?

My family and I were there exactly one year ago today. We stayed at Grand Californian for 3 nights and did 4 days in the parks. When we go back we are flip flopping on whether to do 3 days or 4 days, but nothing less than 3. We accomplished everything we wanted to do in 3 days and found the...
