When riding Splash I would look ahead and see characters and movement and look behind and to catch pieces I missed because there was a lot going on.
With Tiana, there are so many scenes where nothing is happening, you're surrounded by nothing, especially the scene where it's nothing but...
Rode it for the 3rd time overall on my trip a week ago. It's just not fun like Splash Mountain. Lacks energy, lots of empty spaces with just greenery and twinkling lights. Such a disappointment.
Just bought our tickets for October 27th after seeing October 29th is sold out. We'll be there 10/26-10/30 and wanted to catch one of the parties! Thank goodness for this site!
A great idea would be to move Muppet Vision to the Epcot Imagination Pavilion and tie the Muppet Labs into the Imagination pavilion. Have the Muppets and Figment takeover that Pavilion.
I really like it! I also loved the original, but it was getting dated and with attendance levels low it's been at risk for closure for years. Glad to see Disney invested in an update and is keeping it around. My only critique would have been to leave Bear Bear Serenade at the beginning...
My problem with this is that it's just a replacement of what's already there, so its not adding any capacity to a park that already struggles to make its case for a full day. Just redoing the drapes and the pillows.
They really did think Wish was going to be a box office hit. Just seems pathetic at this point...probably should've just tossed those topiaries in the trash.
Likely she was swapped out for Tiana (in her bayou outfit) as that character will be out a lot more with the ride opening soon, gives the cast members time to give the character a test run. Or maybe even Mirabelle as she has her own dedicated M&G, so the staffing is already there.
This whole "Celebrate a Wish" theme seems like it was built off the false assumption that the Wish movie was going to be a hit and this would naturally ride that movie's wave of popularity. Perhaps, 1900 Park Fair sponsored by Disney + (stream Wish now!) Well the movie bombed, so now this...
What an odd mix for breakfast at a Victorian themed hotel. Hopefully they don't screw up the dinner and keep it how it was before with Cinderella and her stepsisters. I never got to do that character dinner and was really hoping to give it a try once it finally opened. :(
True...but these background stories for the standby queue presumably didn't make the bulk of most of the press releases for these attractions or get shoehorned into the attraction story. It was a means to tell a story to guests in a queue (but if you're in the Lightening Lane then you'll miss...
I was hoping they'd just quietly drop the Tiana's co-op foods thing and just focus the ride on her exploring the Bayou. Just seems like an awkwardly forced component of the ride that isn't needed. She can explore the bayou regardless of the management structure of some food business she co-owns.
