I am hoping to get some input from former TOT castmembers on the functionality of the various buttons on the elevator control panel; what works, what doesnt, what used to work but has now been automated.

OK I guess there would be not much to see if it gets stuck in the shaft towers. When you were stuck, were there ever lights that came on? I guess even if lights came on inside the shaft; you really could not see the shaft because riders are inside the car. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I have seen videos of people that were stuck in the WDW Tower of Terror, but I think all the ones I have seen have been in the path going TO the drop towers, and not in the Towers. Anyone aware of people getting stuck temporarily IN the drop shafts?

An OLED tv could have absolute blacks and appear off, but dont think they make small OLEDs that could fit behind the olf TV fascade.

I have been building a replica of the Tower of Terror Boiler room for 4 yrs in an enclosed patio at my home. The plan is that it will go next to the motorized elevator doors, and intend to make the faux elevator motor have a rotating drive wheel that will move in one direction or the other...

So that would be the motor then if it is connected to pulleys, which I would assume would be connected to the elevator as far as for the ride immersion. (I know in reality there are huge motors actually linked to the actual ride vehicles that either lift, or pull the ride vehicles up and down...
