I've found that usually (unfortunately not always) if you blob a bunch of the antibacterial hand gel stuff on a penny that is dirty after you've smushed it you can get the image to come out. Blob the gel on, let it air dry and it's going to leave a goopy residue. Rub the residue off and voilà.
