Congratulations!!!!
We have an Eli "Elias"! And we visited multiple times while I was pregnant with #2 and #3. It was a blast, but...yes it is tiring! Hope that you enjoy each and every minute, moment and memory!!!
We tend to be Disney creatures of habit and we head left at Casey's and over the bridge into Adventureland, while one of us heads to Peter Pan for a fastpass. Usually you can sneak around Adventureland to Big Thunder Mtn. with no line at all. Then back through to Pirates, Jungle Cruise and...
I agree- the business atmosphere can damper the "magic" somewhat. As you walk through the main building and even in the market restaurant, it's difficult to not be surrounded by suits and "cocktail hour". The Park t-shirts and souvenirs are sometimes outnumbered drastically. With that being...
Are we the only ones that fall victim to watching the resort channel tours and top 10's over and over througout the trip. Stacy helped us decide to become DVC members. just can't see those shows enough I guess? Disney dorks, yes we are.
A few years ago we visited the last week in April/first week of May and the crowds were manageable but more than we would have preferred. Plus we were dealing with Grad nite weekend and some cheerleaders too.
Using touringplans helped immensely to plan our days and schedules. And remember...
I am a bit sad too that the houses themselves won't be there. However, for those of you that have a Wii at home----they are featured on the new Epic Mickey game on "Ostown". You can get your fix and even help Mickey paint them too!
We love the fish and chips! It is always peaceful to grab lunch and walk the cobblestone street back behind to the garden and gazebo area in England! And if we're lucky we get a visit from Mary Poppins or great music!!!
We happen to love the dining plan! We have little boys that are big eaters- several of the counter service restaurants will allow even kids under nine to order the "adult" meals for a kids DP credit. That is huge when they are sick of the chicken nuggets or mac./cheese. Columbia House and...
One of our home resorts is OKW. The atmosphere is infectious! Laid back and peaceful all day and night! We've stayed in various buildings in the resort and there are many bus stops throughout. If you figure out the bus routes, you can make your plans accordingly. Sometimes it is faster to...
Nostalgia-Exactly!!! There is nothing like looking down at Nana and hearing your own kids now yell to her, "come on, Nana" right out of the film. Yes, a little refresher would be great---but....the charm and simplicity are also valuable components of the ride experience. My 3 year old doesn't...
We have made the drive from Wisconsin in both November and December. No major problems- except drivers in states south of Indiana are less comfortable driving in snowy, icy, or wintery roads in general. Enjoy!
