    Night photography at GE

Well the good news is with that camera and the 30mm lens you don't need a tripod unless you are trying to get the fireworks type shots where the stop down and and use a slow shutter to get the light streak shots. That camera and the 30mm would work very well for most any other night shot you...

The real question to be asked to begin with is what camera and what lens are you going to use. some of the newer cameras with the addition of a fast lens do not need a tripod and you can shoot handheld.

    Magic Kingdom Looks Its Age

The real question is how much do they charge for the pay phone. If it is 35 cents or less then clearly someone has just ignored them, if it is 1 dollar or more then they are there for a reason

    Lightweight PP S/W?

Given you already have the 720 filter you could always just open up the 30D and remove the IR filter and leave the sensor completely bare in the camera. I've seen the DIY that lifepixel has for removing the IR filter and replacing it with their 720 filter on the sensor. It doesn't look that...

    Lightweight PP S/W?

If you want to just be able to look at things quickly without buying software then you could always download Capture One Pro and do the time trial for it. It will give you 30 days of full usage including saves and exports to whatever format you use. Otherwise, shareware programs for working...

That's the same thing a guy at work said.

Lenses to bring to Disney World for Christmas

Take the 18-400 for AK... for the other parks I would go with the 8-15 and the 24 or 35 (which ever one is faster). A shame you didn't get the kit lens with the camera it would have been a better option than the 8-15 or 10-18.... Only ones I would be sure to leave at home would be the 100, 85...

    The fallacy of overcrowded parks......

But you wont buy mouse ears or overpriced water in a queue. I think they try to get you to just wander around and would be happy if everyone just walked from kiosk to kiosk and shop to shop never riding anything.

    The fallacy of overcrowded parks......

You also have to look at useable space today versus 20 years ago. The foot print of MK remains the same but they have made changes within that same space that removes usable space for guests. Now factor in the areas consumed for stroller parking and even if the total number of guest was the...

What's the max amount of time you could spend at WDW without getting bored?

Longest stay was 2 weeks with only 10 days in the parks... It was the last time we stayed that long, it was also a time when the kids didn't complain a bit when we left. Granted that was when we were going every 4 to 6 months... but still I would have expected some, "ah do we have to go" from...

What will Disney’s response be to Universals 4th gate?

Disney is too arrogant to do anything simply because Universal increases anything be it parks, rides, hotels or whatever. Disney still behaves as if they are on a level beyond touch by other parks and what other parks do is of little importance to them. The only way Disney will ever build...

Too much money and not worth it..

I wouldn't expect the food at Disney to be any healthier, if it was healthier I would expect them to be shouting that fact to high heaven but just try to find any nutritional facts on the foods they serve. If you are lucky they will have a binder that they keep behind the counter and you have...

Too much money and not worth it..

Good for you. But for my taste the food across the board at MK is too bland.

Too much money and not worth it..

The cafeteria at HBS was run by Marriott and they loved having quasi-ethnic entrees at dinner but they were always pale imitations of the real thing. If you grew up in the north east then I can understand why you might find the food at MK to be good and flavorful, but I was raised in places...

Too much money and not worth it..

I never said it wasn't. I remember being very disappointed with the seafood stew and barely made it a restroom about 15 minutes after I left the place. No clue if it was the food from that place as I was the only one that had the stew, and the only one to suffer that day.
