Hi all, my Bible World project is no longer on the Imagineering Forum. If you want to be added to a thread so you know when I add stuff to my blog (which doesn’t happen often when I’m busy in a competition), please either respond to this message with a “love” or send me a private chat. Thanks!
I tend to agree with this! The best one I’ve attended is the Bluegrass Festival at Dollywood. I would probably prefer Nightmare Before Christmas overlay at Disneyland. I’ll be at Universal Japan for Cool Japan, so I’m interested to see the overlays there.
Hey Tiki, we've talked about being on the Spectrum before (for those who don't know, I'm pretty high-functioning). Really sorry to hear that you had such a frustrating experience ordering pizza. They really dropped the ball on this, so it's understandable that you're angry. I hear that many...
Space Management
The basic philosophy is that theme park elements should only be as big as they need to be. Younger uses the example of Indiana Jones at Disneyland to show that the E-ride was able to fit into its space backstage when a small piece of Jungle Cruise was rerouted. To me, although...
I prefer a hotel room. Does the Hollywood Tower Hotel have a room? On the 13th floor?
A little more seriously: one of the pods for Spaceship Earth. I could only imagine the Cast Member saying, "Sorry, that pod is occupied by our resident."
But probably something on Main Street where I could...
I’ll go with Indy. It takes some of the best moments from the series, provides some randomness each time. The Indy coaster in Paris also was pretty fun, although it would be more pleasant riding when it’s not freezing out.
I don’t play video games currently. I typically have about 4-5 books that I’m reading—usually 1 fiction and the rest theology books (probably not too surprising!). I’ll focus on the fictional ones here. The Screwtape Letters and The Great Divorce by CS Lewis are worth reads (or in my case...
Forced Perspective: David Younger spends 3 pages in small font to describe various aspects of changing the sizes of items to give the impression that they are bigger (or further away) than they actually are. The floor heights (12 ft., 10 ft., 8 ft.) on Main Street USA are a common example...
Did anybody else catch the significance of our start date? March 14th is Pi Day, which means Pi Are Squared! Mmm Lemon Meringue...
What Armchair Imagineering Project are you most proud of? Bible World is what brought me to the Forum, and some day I'll get back to adding new content to it!
What...
A few more nominations:
Best Team: Eisner in SYWTBAI
Best Project in a Competition: Tundraland by Team Eisner
Best Concept Art: Weird Al Broccoli by Pi
It was enjoyable to watch after-the-fact. I should have gotten it into my calendar when it was first announced, although I wold have only been able to watch the last 10-15 minutes of it. But yes, I effectively not seen Trolls before the finale.
