I'm excited for the MSEP to return this summer, but Paint the Night is my favorite. I've heard it's expensive to run (which I don't understand), but are they just afraid of not enough of an audience for it? Help me understand! I hope it's not scrapped forever...
I really prefer Pixar Pier to Paradise Pier. Even after Paradise Pier was remodeled, it was kind of meh to me. I think Pixar Pier is really cute and charming.
Just watched the live stream... the projections and the lasers were DEFINITELY upgraded. The picture on the water screens was amazing.
BUUT... I’ve never seen so many fountains out! It’s very noticeable. I hope they have people around the clock replacing fountains until the grand opening March 1.
It would be such an idiotic decision to retire PTN. I saw it during Pixar Fest and it was a HUGE hit. People were dancing and singing and cheering - never seen that during a parade before. It was so much fun and really fit well in DCA.
I think all Fireworks shows will follow this format now: no more castle fireworks, Fantasyland will stay open, and a heavier emphasis on special effects than Pyro. It appeases Anaheim, keeps more of the park open, and saves money on Pyro.
I'm hoping they incorporate those AND the lights that were installed on Mickey's Fun Wheel that were first used for Winter Dreams. It seems silly not to integrate them into the regular show after going through all the trouble to put them up there.
That’s true, mickeys mix magic without fireworks would be better on Main Street. I’ve been burned with so many fireworks cancellations I just avoid Main Street and the castle like the plague now during the shows lol.
Definitely a Christmas Fantasy Parade. Saw it a few days before Christmas and it was a MADHOUSE at the Small World Mall trying to get a good view.
My friends and I subsequently gave it a “meh” after it was done.
My advice would be to do Fantasmic and the fireworks in one night. I went during Christmas, got a fast pass and had a great view of the show and fireworks. The fireworks get cancelled more often than you’d think at DL. I get the castle view is iconic, but I’d rather not spend 2-3 hours staking...
DL cannot handle a night parade anymore. During the 60th it was a nightmare with Fantasmic, PTN and Disneyland Forever running nightly. I think Disneyland is too crowded for a night parade.
I hope they are making the Mark Twain’s dock larger, or putting switch backs in. Ever since Fantasmic started using it for pastpass return it’s a clustercluck in there. You are packed in like sardines.
I think they did a great job with the entrance to Adventureland. It was sooo much easier to walk through during the holidays.
Also, removing the Haunted Mansion planter was a nice move too. Much easier to navigate through there.
