Pacing was much better tonight compared to when I saw it a couple weeks ago, at least in Town Square. The floats were not racing to see how fast they could make it down Main Street. You actually could enjoy each one and experience the music transitions as well.
Having now seen this in person, it’s got a good foundation and a little effort could make it great.
My thoughts/ideas.
Rework the Blue Fairy float: Pull Pinocchio and Gepetto out of there, and use that space for a new logo screen to open the parade similar to SpectroMagic.
Then cut up the...
I Havnt been in the loop for a couple years now, but not too long ago they still had the two Bubble Fish and two of the Whirly Balls from Specto intact and functioning. They would bring them out for special events and some of the races. Not sure they are still onsite, but it would be an easy...
Oh I know it ran that route, I’m just not aware of it running one way and then the other for the second performance. I performed in Spectro in the early 2000’s and the logistics of making that work are questionable. Spectromitch was a long parade, when it was staged behind Main Street it would...
It never did, the floats had no way to turn around backstage. Spectro ran the same direction twice. Frontierland to Main Street in the early years and then Main Street to Frontierland for most of its existence. If the parade ran twice a night, the floats would drop the performers at parade base...
No, the layout is fairly easy to grasp.
The Indiana Jones temple sits exactly where dinosaur does currently
The Encanto house sits where primeval whirl used to be.
The carousel looking structure is Triceratop Spin
The large building at the bottom, right hand side is RestaurantaSaurus.
The...
I’ve always found this odd as well, I worked entertainment when Spectro came back in 2001, BOTH ELP and Spectro at that time were located in the interior parade storage building. The Day parade (it was still the 25th parade) was stored under the covered outdoor portion of the building and the...
This would be entirely accurate. Expecting a less that 30-day turnaround on a renewal contract to go through all the legal channels and finance is not always realistic. Most of the hotels on this list will be back through 2024.
