For the “Lodge” cravers:
The Hotel should have been Arendelle lodging with strong timber themes to seamlessly attach to the Frozen section creating a sizable anchor section to Fantasy Springs.
instead of flat tall hotel facades the lodge could have been an extension of the Frozen mountain scape.
Super Hero is loaded with bombastic architecture and showcasing embarrassing 2 dimensional fronts but still worse is the noise: pounding piped in noise throughout the land.
Suess Landing’s appeal relies heavily on the paint can.
at its opening in turn of the century and after fresh paint jobs...
…….which falls in line with one of Japan’s leading societal phenomena: “cute”.
Kawaii(cuteness) is found most everywhere from trains to restaurants to sports to vending machines and what better way to showcase it than with animated children.
that looks like Baymax(same ride as Alien Swirling Saucers at Hollywood Studios but with a different “skin” and music) at Tokyo Disneyland………
Ya, that’s an entirely different conversation: culture encourages participation from cast and guest. The whole point of this **HUGELY** popular ride is...
Oh no doubt! You’re spot on.
But I still have issue with the 3 themes within Fantasy Springs not square with the overall message of Disney Sea(exploration of oceans/sea ports)
We have
Peter Pan: childhood growth
Frozen: bravery and sacrifice
Rapunzel: I don’t know, but it sure aint...
I wouldn’t go that far……….. theme(s) sorely disappoints: 2 out of 3 ‘lands’ are overused and found all over the Disney globe and all 3 have nothing to do with oceans/seas/traditional exploration.
such a lazy choice thematically for Fantasy Springs.
Now execution of this woeful theme(s) will...
It’s(the flume with drench drop and “white water” round rafts) most definitely on a downward trend from its high water mark from 2000 to 2010.
Do you really believe if IOA were created today it would have had 3 drenchers(2 drop flumes and 1 rapids)?
Back in turn of the century rides like those reached their zenith and were expected menu items at highly themed out parks……but over the years they have become old hat and out of fashion.
I’m very happy Epic will not recycle the tired and over tried circular “white water” raft down a trough...
Starfall will look gorgeous: I expect the ride station, ride vehicles, paint schemes and intertwined track layout to be first class making it the most majestic coaster on Earth.
It will have the adult thrills of a Magic Mountain/Cedar Point coaster but most importantly dressed up Universal...
Ya, me too…..I personally don’t consider TRON an E(more like a bonafide rightful D) but Disney positioned it as an E and I’d bet most agree with Disney.
I have seen them domestically in spots like:
Starbucks
Target
Walmart
Costco
Lowe’s
Disney
Universal
Bus stops
Malls
College campuses
In cities like:
New York City
Los Angeles
Orlando
San Fran
Miami
Denver
San Diego
Sacramento
Austin
There’s more but you get the idea
Your question...
Those pics actually contradict your claim. Looks to me like those in the picture aren’t full of nose rings, clown colored hair and tats plastered with devil horns, guns or daggers and blood.
