Survivor
I'm Megan and I will be turning 19 years old in a few days. I love everything about Disney. I was a pretty normal kid up to last year right before Easter when I started getting really bad stomach pains. I went to the hospitals and they said I had pancreatitis and took my gallbladder out. After a week of being in the hospital and still being sick and losing weight and jaundice they sent me home. About another week gone by feeling horrible I woke up early in the morning and went into my parents bedroom and said to them I need someone to find out what was going on. So I went to another hospital and after a lot of tests and scans a doctor came in and sat on my bed and held my hand. I knew something was bad that he held my hand. He told me I had B-Cell Lymphoma. I said is that Cancer and he said yes. He went on to explain it was in several places throughout my body and I needed to start treatment right away. Two Oncology Doctors than came in the next day and explained what the treatment was which included aggressive Chemotherapy. That evening I told my mom I wanted to cut all my long hair off before it all started falling out. It was hard. Many months past and many hard times with a few where I thought I wasn't going to make it this past February my scans were clear and I am in complete remission. I went to WDW in April and had so much fun.
